The Pharmacie Arms The Pharmacie Arms is at the heart of the Syston community, a real community lead Micro Pub, very family friendly, our age range is from two years to 99 years everyone just sits together and chats… no strangers just friends not yet made…

Since opening they have raised money for The Poppy Appeal, Loros, South Leicester Community First Responders, Teenage Cancer and Prostate Cancer UK plus others and also sponsor local teams and sportsmen.

They hold an annual ‘MacMillan Coffee Morning’ on the last Friday in September and have raised over £4,000 so far for the charity.

The annual Oktoberfest raises money for Teenage Cancer Trust.

The upstairs function room is available to be used by local community groups free of charge.

Currently this includes the new Menopause Café, which is held on the first Wednesday every month and is also the home of RJ Vocal Coaching and Choir, who meet on Thursday evenings.

They are the winter home of Syston Town Cricket Club, who use the Board Room for committee meetings and The Pharmacie Arms helps by sponsoring them.

Age Concern Syston celebrated their Queens Platinum Jubilee in style with around 100 people attending their extra special coffee morning. There was red, white and blue everywhere as people dressed for the occasion and even one lady wearing her crown! The Happy Ukulele Band entertained them with a good old singalong and some impromptu dancing by some of their members.

They had plenty of cake and some fizz (non-alcoholic of course) to raise a toast and sing the National Anthem.

Age Concern wanted to say Thank you to everyone who attended especially the Happy Ukulele Band and all their wonderful volunteers for making the event such a success.

The Annual General Meeting of the Syston and District Volunteer Centre will be held at Beedles Lake Golf Club on Tuesday 16th August immediately following the regular monthly Community Lunch.

Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Paul Lomas, says: “The AGM gives Members the opportunity to judge and express an opinion on how well the Centre’s affairs have been managed over the past year. Copies of the Centre accounts and a report from the Board of Trustees will be circulated at the meeting.

The constitution of the Centre requires all Trustees to retire at the AGM with the opportunity to offer to serve for another year. I am pleased to be able to report that all current Trustees have committed to a further year of service – but there are still vacancies on the Board to be filled.

Members are invited to consider volunteering, or to nominate any other Member, to join the Board of Trustees for the year ahead.

All Members are entitled to attend and vote at the Annual General Meeting. They do not need to have attended the lunch. If they wish, and are able, they can simply come to Beedles Lake Golf Club at 2.00pm in time for the start of the meeting. We look forward to welcoming as many as possible to the event.”

Hedgehog Day Sunday 12th June 2022 On a beautiful sunny day, lots of people visited the annual hedgehog day held by Pat Wadd in Queniborough. Pat has been running this rescue centre for many years and it always draws a large amount of visitors to support her work.

Sunday she had six baby hedgehogs, two three weeks old and four two weeks old. Two of which had been taken in after their mother had been in a garden and had been caught with a strimmer, unfortunately the Mum didn’t survive but the two babies, with the love and care that Pat gives, will hopefully grow and be returned to the wild once they have reach a suitable weight.

Members recently marked the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee by doing a series of pictures taking the Queen’s reign as inspiration. About 35 members took part in the project, some contributing more than one picture. We are delighted that so many members wanted to join in.

The majority are currently displayed as a montage in the window of Sapphire Kitchen in Birstall where they can be enjoyed by anyone passing by. It is the Society’s way of marking the event and giving back to the community, whilst promoting the group. All pictures relating to the project, including those that it was not possible to include in the montage, will be on show in the BADAS annual exhibition in November.

BADAS is a friendly group and there are currently some membership vacancies.

As well as the monthly demonstration evenings, there are Friday morning painting sessions and an opportunity to sign up for Monday classes. The Society also runs trips, plein air sketching sessions and social events. As a member, you can also participate in the annual exhibition. Charnwood Celebrates Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Residents in Charnwood celebrated Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with a number of events across the borough.

There were scores of street parties and celebrations over the bank holiday including the lighting of the beacon in Queen’s Park, Loughborough on Thursday evening which was organised by Charnwood Borough Council.

Loughborough resident Stephen Hutchins, who has served the Queen his whole working life, won a competition to light the beacon.

A Charnwood Heritage Plaque was also unveiled by the Mayor of Charnwood, Cllr Jennifer Tillotson on the evening of Thursday 2nd June.

Festival Returns to Syston The Syston Food Gusto Festival will be back in the picturesque setting of Central Park, Syston for a day of the finest food, delicious drink and family entertainment on Saturday 27th August.

The festival will bring a wide variety of artisan food and drink to the area for the third time, serving up locallyproduced tantalising treats and decadent delicacies for people to nibble, bite, chew, sip and slurp.

There will be a range of exhibitors, bringing you the region’s best food and drink, who have all been handpicked for variety, provenance and passion to ensure food lovers are able to experience a taste of the truly different.

Syston From Social Summer Fayre Distancing to Social Gathering by Ineke Saturday 3rd

The Syston Summer Fayre is starting to take shape for its return after two years.

This Community Event includes: crafting workshops, recycling and upcycling, there are a variety of stalls from charity, social groups, non-profit making groups and societies to craft and gift stalls plus mini rides, refreshments available.

There will be live local bands, dancers, a beer tent, gin bar and picnic area.

Did you know that this event is run by members of your community?

Contrary to popular belief, we are not part of Syston Town Council, in fact they are charging us to use the park!

If you would like to support us with your time or a donation towards running costs, they would be gratefully received.

The event will commence at 12noon and run until 6pm.

A soft ‘twang’, the sound of an arrow being released from the bow, catches my attention when I walk towards a group of about 15 archers. They are all lined up, facing big round targets where they aim their arrows. I notice that the bows do not look like the ones I know from Robin Hood.

They are flashier with bright colours and with stabilizers. When I look a bit closer, I do notice some more traditional bows and arrows too. So, it’s not all titanium, but also wood and feathers.

archery, we also enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Syston Rugby Club. She tells me that it’s a fairweather sport and during the cold winter they shoot indoors. Which sounds like a fair compromise to me, knowing the British weather!

She shows me a bow and invites me to have a go at archery myself. Sure, why not, I have done this before but that was ages ago. Even though I only shoot a couple of arrows, I feel I want to get it better every time I release. And that is what archery is about, competing with yourself.

Looking at the other archers and their bows, I realise that this can be quite a costly hobby unless you are like my stepfather who used to make his own archery kit.

Fenella explains that the club has a scheme in place which lets you hire kit and this would also be a great way of trying different types of bows. If you are not sure that this is a hobby for you due to your age or physical state, you might be surprised. The oldest member is 90 years old and you do not have to be fit to start this hobby.

Co-writers: Felicity and Diane with L- R: Ray Weston,Tim Garner and Ray Young On Wednesday 1st June, invitations were sent out to people who had contributed to the second book about Syston in the 20th Century. Refreshments had been provided by TESCO, Syston.

With everyone charged with a glass of their choice, the invited guests took their seats in St Peter and St Paul’s Church.

The church was full and Felicity Austin thanked everyone for attending and all those who has contributed their own and family history and memoirs that have culminated in two books, which as she said in her welcome speech, she was only aiming to write one!

She had talked the idea over with Ray Young and Tim Garner of the History group and a group she gave a ‘Swinging Sixties’ talk to in 2019 and they all seemed keen on the idea. Little did she know what was coming in the New Year and how it was going to affect everyone.

Neither did she realise how much time it was going to take to write. So with the help of Diane Smith her writing partner, they got to work. Diane spoke a little about her involvement and how Felicity had asked her to help. Felicity presented Diane with a thank you gift. She then introduced her brother-in-law, Ray Weston, who helped with all the technical side of getting the book together and finished. He was also given a small gift.

She went on to thank myself, your editor, for featuring an appeal for specific information about our town in the 20th Century and gave me a signed copied of the book, for which I thank you very much.

Anchor Print were thanked for their patience and in particular, Richard Linnet and Simon Bradshaw who helped the two novices!

She gave two special and symbolic awards to Tim Garner and Ray Young who answered all sorts of queries, lent them the book of All Sorts and photographs and images. They were presented with a box of All Sorts each!

This made the audience laugh and they gave a hearty round of applause.

She finished with a poem called ‘Back in time’ which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Please see our website for this.

After the speeches the audience was able to walk around the church and to see the Exhibition of the Life and Times of her Majesty the Queen before it opened to the public from the 2nd to the 5th June. It included the post box topper from 2021

by SKB with the Queen and her beloved Corgis, plus the beautiful Crown which SKB did for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee this year. A bonus was that you could try it on and have your picture taken, as many people did.

It was a lovely evening with everyone taking time to walk around and chat with one another. Something that we hadn’t been able to do for so long.

Thank you to Felicity and her band of friends who helped to put on the displays and provided an excellent exhibition for the people of Syston to view.

This Month in the Garden With Kate Hill

It’s hard to believe we’re already half way through the year and many plants are reaching their peak, although the Mexican fleabane daisies (Erigeron Karvinskianus) never stop flowering and never fail to charm. They seed themselves around yet never make a nuisance of themselves looking good wherever they pitch up and, despite their Latin American origins, tolerate whatever the British weather throws at them – what more could you ask for?

Other good “doers” that flower all summer long are the Astrantias (also known as Hattie’s pin cushion and masterwort). There are many varieties in shades of white, pink and red and they are a magnet for bees and other insects.

I have in the past visited Norwell Nurseries in Nottinghamshire where Dr Andrew Ward keeps the national collection of Astrantias.

His garden is open to the public and is well worth a visit. Two of the varieties I grow in my garden are shown here: Roma (pink) and Joyce (red).

There’s only one downside to these plants – they smell pretty awful, so are best planted away from the edge of a border!

More of a showstopper than the daisies and Astrantias is Allium Christophii (photo at the top of the page) a bulb I wouldn’t want to be without as it too flowers for ages with huge heads made up of dozens of shiny metallic purple stars and when the flowers do go over the seed heads still look attractive. (Last Christmas I sprayed a few with silver paint to use as decorations). Another summer flowering Allium is Sphaeracephalon, which has egg shaped heads that start off green at the base then turn deep maroon.

They look especially effective when planted in groups and teamed with grasses and I’m definitely going to plant more of these bulbs in the autumn.

I was delighted to see this painted lady butterfly in the garden enjoying the hardy Osteospermum daisies. It stayed around for much of the afternoon and when the sun went in and the flowers closed it then alighted on the gravel, probably absorbing the warmth from the stones but it was so well camouflaged it was almost impossible to see it, so I was somewhat relieved when it eventually flew off to land on another plant as it could so easily have got trodden on, which would have been a tragic end to such a beautiful creature which has flown all the way from North Africa. I hope it’s still enjoying daisies in someone else’s garden.

Tales from the Plot I feel very lucky as I have always had great pleasure from growing my own food and I enjoy my allotment, however I do understand it’s not everybody’s cup of tea and sadly there are plot holders that treat their plot as a chore. I always say if you don’t enjoy it then why would you do it?

Around this time plot holders talk about "the June drop"……June drop on fruit trees refers to the tendency of different types of fruit trees to drop immature fruit usually around June to July. I have a pear tree that usually loses around 75% of its fruit at this time, it’s quite saddening although I do think it makes the ones it does produce more special!

July is usually one of the driest months, so watering can be essential. To help with this I hoe regularly to break up the soil and remove weeds and tend to water in the cool of the morning or evening.

Beetroot, broad beans, cabbage, cauliflower, peas, lettuce, rhubarb, spring onions, radish, spinach can all start to be harvested now. Broad beans are one of my favourite vegetables; they’re extremely easy to grow. I grow Sutton Dwarf as they require no staking, I've put them in with the help of a dibber in a row about eight inches apart and then just leave them to it - apart from a regular check for blackfly, an old trick for blackfly is to take a handful of soil and crumble over the blackfly, just something you could try.

It is also time to lift the earliest potatoes which is met with great anticipation, the first potatoes are always a real treat and continue earthing up the rows of your other varieties.

Now is the best time to sow the main crop of carrots to avoid attack from root fly and to continue with successional sowings of beetroot and lettuce. This is also the end of the asparagus season, so stop cutting and give the plants a top dressing of

Explore by Foot During the very first lockdown, back in 2020, I had the idea to develop a user-friendly footpath map specifically for Rearsby and all of the surrounding towns and villages accessible by foot. It seemed to me that whilst there were so many more people out and about exploring the area, so many did not truly appreciate the extensive network of fantastic footpaths that we have around us. This inhibited them not only from some lovely strolls, but also from discovering new villages and the amenities within them. So, two years on and the idea has finally become a reality! Whilst it may not now be the case that a countryside stroll is the highlight of your social calendar for the week, as a fan of pub walks and local explorations myself, I like to think that many of us will still be getting out and about by foot and may be interested to learn of those areas accessible and the services within them to stop for refreshment or a browse of local produce.

Together with a couple of incredibly talented designers/artists two maps have been born that will go either side of a sheet of A2, that will fold down to fit in the pocket, perfect for any length of excursion. One side will feature a user-friendly footpath map, very similar to OS walking maps, with

Rearsby at the centre but expanding out to include all surrounding areas (Thrussington, East Goscote, Ratcliffe-On-The-Wreake, Syston, Queniborough, Cossington, Sileby, Barkby, Seagrave, South Croxton, Barsby, Ashby-Folville, Gaddesby, Frisby, Rotherby, Hoby) with an accompanying key to indicate where there are local shops, cafes, village pubs etc. The reverse side of the map will show a beautiful artwork depiction of Rearsby village itself including historic buildings and points of interest that you will be able to spot on your way around.

I hope that many of you will find these maps useful and will hopefully discover some new favourite places.

Last Night of the Proms - Birstall Once again after a very successful show in 2019 Birstall Scouts and St James Birstall Parish Church are putting on a last night of the proms show in aid of the church and the Scouts on Saturday 24th September at 7pm start, doors open from 6.30pm.

Tickets will be £10 per head on the door or if you get them in advance £8 per person and £20 for a family of four (two adults and two children under 12).

We are proud to have the Bilton Silver Rugby Band to perform for us once again this year.

We are also proud the have some local talent this year with the Heart of England Barber Shop Choir, who are based in Birstall, performing for us. In addition the Leicestershire and Rutland Pipe Band will add a little bit of Scotland to the proms.

Ratcliffe on the Wreake Platinum Jubilee Celebrations

Ratcliffe on the Wreake village hall was packed on Sunday with villagers who came to see the quilt they had been working on during the last few months.

Many people had made representations of their homes, that were then sewn onto the quilt.

Horses, cows, sheep and trees were added to create a lovely piece of folk art that was displayed prominently in the Hall.

The Hall walls were adorned with art provided by villagers as well as a fascinating display of the village history.

Bacon cobs, plenty of coffee and cakes were thoroughly enjoyed.

Services held regularly in your church are a Communion Service on Wednesday morning at 9.30am and 10am on Sunday morning with refreshments afterwards.

Jubilee Celebrations It was wonderful and a privilege to host an exhibition of the last 70 years of the Queen’s reign in the church as reported elsewhere in this paper.

The special service on Sunday morning 5th June was uplifting. The service included a number of musical items used in the 1953 Coronation Service, including 'I was Glad', the trumpet fanfares preceding the singing of the National Anthem and the Coronation March, 'Orb and Sceptre' at the end. A special thank you to our talented organist Matthew Jones.

After the service all eight bells rang out thanks to the help of ringers from Thurmaston, Queniborough and Birstall.

Special event in Barkby Barkby church hosted a fund-raising event with ‘Auctioneer and TV Personality’ Charles Hanson on 9th June in Barkby Church in aid of the charity L.S.P.I. (Life Skills Project International). A charity supporting children and young people, particularly girls, to gain skills to improve their lives in Pakistan. It was a highly entertaining talk by a talented auctioneer with many a good story to tell! It was organised by Sheila Langley.

The event raised an amazing £800.

One Leaflet Creates a Community Belvoir Drive were delighted to be awarded ‘best dressed street’ by the Stn during the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations. This award recognises the efforts of the residents who have worked together and use celebrations to turn their street into an inclusive community.

This Jubilee weekend, Belvoir Drive was festooned with bunting and flags and culminated in a street party on a soggy Sunday. The party started with an opening ceremony including a speech, a ‘champagne’ toast to Her Majesty (and a resident of equal age!) and the National Anthem.

There was a bar, tables heaving with delicious and creative food, flower arrangements, a kids games tent and music – there was even a VIP area for older residents who had witnessed most, if not all, of the Queen’s reign.

This is not the first street event for Belvoir Drive. The first was for VE Day to bring some joy during lockdown and started by one resident posting leaflets to each house.

‘Leaflet Lady’ struck again at Christmas 2020 when all events were cancelled so Belvoir Drive had their own street Christmas Lights switch on with ‘drinkies on the drive’; this was followed by an even brighter event at Christmas 2021 when money was raised by one resident for a charity in memory of her son. The street has now formed a committee, nicknamed Belvoir Bashes.

It just goes to show that one simple action can transform a street of people who would typically wave to each other on bin day or in passing, into a supportive community of developing friendships.

This does seem typical of the Council’s recent ‘form’. Friends of Syston Cemetery Hello everyone, Well we seem to be having beautiful weather. I love to sit and look at the blue sky with the fluffy white clouds scudding by and the fledgling birds in the peaceful surroundings of our beautiful cemetery.

The War Graves open day was such a serene and emotional day, if I’m honest it was special. We had a steady flow of people. A copy of the position of each War Grave at our cemetery is now in the Chapel. We will be looking to hold this event again next year.

The Chapel has been opened quite a lot since I last wrote because of all the bank holidays. It is at present decorated for the Queens Platinum Jubilee. The next display will be for summer time.

Queen’s Jubilee Birthday Honours Delight for Local Councillor

A former Mayor of Charnwood and serving councillor has been recognised in the Queen’s Jubilee Birthday Honours list for his services to local government.

Cllr Ken Pacey, a Councillor for Charnwood Borough Council and Syston Town Council, has been awarded a Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) in Her Majesty The Queen’s Jubilee Birthday Honours List 2022.

The list marks the public service of individuals across the UK in celebration of Her Majesty’s 70 years of service.

Cllr Pacey who has lived in Syston for over 40 years and is a retired financial services manager, was elected to both Charnwood Borough Council and Syston Town Council in 1999. He represents the Syston East Ward as a borough councillor and holds positions on the licensing and licensing sub committees.

He served as the Mayor of Charnwood between 2006 and 2007, where he attended over 400 events across the borough and helped to raise over £17,000 for The Air Ambulance Service, which was his chosen charity for his Mayoral year. He also served as Deputy Mayor between 2007 and 2008.

As well as serving as a borough Councillor, Cllr Pacey represents the Merton Ward on Syston Town Council and has been the town Council’s Chairman on four occasions.

Cllr Pacey said he wasn’t sure how to feel when he received the news about being awarded an MBE as he says that being a councillor isn’t something he does to achieve awards but to help make a difference in his local community.

He said: “I wasn’t quite sure the letter was real at first, I couldn’t quite believe it. Being awarded an MBE is a very proud moment but it feels surreal. I was asked to stand for Charnwood Borough Council and Syston Town Council in 1999 and I’ve never looked back. I believe if you want to do something in life, you should commit to it one hundred percent and that is what I have tried to do as a councillor.

Although it can be challenging at times, I thoroughly enjoy it. I could not have done 23 years without the support of my family, friends and fellow councillors.Being a councillor is definitely rewarding. A particular highlight was when I represented the borough as the Mayor of Charnwood. I attended lots of events and had the chance to meet many different people and local communities.”

The Queen’s Birthday honours list is published each year on the Queen’s official birthday in June.

Fosseway Bowls Club Celebrate The Platinum Jubilee Forty Eight bowlers took to the green on Saturday 4th June for a bowls match to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee. Mr Tony Peverill’s rink won the special giant Platinum Jubilee bars of chocolate.

Following the game over eighty members and guests enjoyed a buffet meal which included such treats as ‘Dripping’ sandwiches, every conceivable type of filled rolls followed by trifles, cheesecakes and scones.

Our President Mr John Gant hosted the President’s Raffle which raised £245 which goes towards his choice of charities, Loros and Rainbows.

It really was a most enjoyable day.

The photograph on page 14 shows all the bowlers dressed in their jubilee outfits.

The Royal British Legion Rededication Service On Sunday 12th June, your Editor was invited to attend this service of rededication of the Leicestershire and Rutland 63rd Annual Standard Bearers Association at St Peter and St Paul’s Church.

James Freer’s School of Tae Kwon-do We are the ‘James Freer’s Schools of Tae Kwon-do’ with the main Instructors being myself - World Master James Freer 7th Dan and my wife - 5 times World Champion Master Sheryl Freer 6th Dan. We belong to the biggest and most successful Tae Kwon-do organisation Worldwide, the TAGB, Tae Kwon-do Association of Great Britain and also part of the BTC, British Tae Kwon-do Council and Tae Kwon-do International.

The students work hard in our classes and enjoy the challenges Tae Kwon-do offers along the way, recently the students even managed to raise £280 for the Ukranian Fund!

Some of our most senior grades were recently promoted by our

organisation to higher grades, they were Les Hull 7th Dan, Sheryl Freer 6th Dan, Peter Bruton 6th Dan and Sharon Bruton 6th Dan, pictured below left.

This July – we will be having a seminar held by one of the founder members of the TAGB, Grand Master Kenny Walton 9th Dan. He is also the TAGB National Team Coach delivering the most successful Tae Kwon-do teams of the last 20 years, as well as being a driving force in the establishment and development of the TAGB and BTC. Grand Master Walton was one of the best Tae Kwon-do fighters of his generation, known for his outstanding fitness, mental toughness and nonstop kicking style, he won multiple World, European and British titles.

He continues to teach, producing several World and European champion fighters and is an inspiration to all those who work with him.

NEW BARKBY WI New Barkby W.I’s June meeting took the form of a social evening, to celebrate HM Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee as monarch of the United Kingdom.

Wearing a crown, President Mrs Shirley Franklin, hosted the evenings event which began with the singing of the National Anthem and a toast to Her Majesty. Delicious food was provided by committee members, including a Jubilee Pudding made by Mrs J. Olive; meringue nests and strawberries from Mrs L. Chapman and a special cake made by Mrs J. Goulden.

There was a parade of crowns as members displayed their own creations. The winner was Mrs J. Malam (this was the competition for the month). Afterwards there was a chance to view Royal memorabilia that members had brought in to display.

Mrs Franklin thanked everyone for contributing to the preparation and the organisation of the meeting.

The next meeting will be held on Wednesday 6th July at 7.30pm in Syston Community Centre, School Street, when the speaker will be Linda Holmes ‘Baroness Bulsover’s afternoon tea’.

Syston Town C.C. 1st XI continued their excellent start to the season with successive wins over Ibstock Town, Hinckley Amateur, Cropston and Loughborough Town 2nd XI. The victory over previously unbeaten Loughborough propelled the 1st XI to the top of the league. Australian opener Liam O’Farrell has given the club some cracking starts including 103 in 62 balls against Ibstock and 75 not out off 50 balls against Loughborough. He has been well

Syston’s bowling attack has largely overwhelmed the opposition so far this season. The pace attack of George Corbett, Asif Mai, Umar Razzaq and Bilal Pardesi have all bowled admirably and

spinners Zahir Taher and Faisal Jariwala are currently the team’s leading wicket takers.

In contrast the club’s 2nd XI are still looking for their first win of the season. Several of last season’s regulars have departed but the club is fortunate that experienced former skipper Darmist Bathia was willing to take over the reins once more. The return of former regulars Henry Whait and Ketan Dudharejia has given the team a boost and it is hoped that results will improve in the weeks ahead.

The Sunday XI continued their winning run with victories over Rothley Park, Belvoir, Buckminster and Barrowby and Sileby Town.

Against Rothley, Syston amassed a match winning 302-3 with Assad Pathan making 102 and Charlie Taylor 81. Dave Tebbutt (4-27) and Ayaan Pathan (3-49) were largely responsible for dismissing Belvoir for 125 and Kamron Jussab top scoring with 49 as Syston got home by six wickets. Buckminster were bowled out for just 87 with Dave Tebbutt (4-23) once more the pick of the bowlers. Mo Salejee (42) and Assad Pathan (45) knocked off the runs without loss. Syston then piled up 288 against Sileby with Liam O’Farrell hitting 101 in no time and Charlie Taylor cracking 86. Yash Patel bowled superbly to take 5-12 as Sileby were all out for just 85.

The ladies team The Sirens continues to grow but they were unlucky that their first home matches of the season were washed out on 5th June.

Dave Tebbutt has taken over as Junior Co-ordinator and he is continuing to expand the junior side of the club which was so hard hit by Covid restrictions.

Teams at all levels from Kwik to Under 17 are now playing games.
