5 Rental Property buying mistakes to avoid. MOM, IT’S COLD!! Solar heating panels on the roof of your house is by far, the most popular form of pool heating in Namibia. Even with the correct type of solar panels (there are cheap options with poor results) you can still end up with a cold pool. Here are some dealer tricks on how to get the most from your solar panels during the autumn and Spring times of the year. 1. Set the timer of the pool pump to start at no earlier than 10h00 and switch off at 16h00. (The warmest part of the day) 2. In the event of you regularly having kids swimming in the pool or the pool being used by many people, it would be necessary for the pump to run longer hours (8 hours minimum). In this case I would suggested you set the solar panels on “bypass” if you run the

pump after 16h00. Solar panels can be a good friend but if not operated “correctly”, they can actually cool the pool down……. Let me explain. 3. Water passing through the panels is heated by the sun. The warmer the sun the warmer the water will be coming back from the panels. During the evening when the sun is sets, the energy transferred to the panels by the sun is so low, the water is now rather cooled down by the panels. 4. Cover your pool. Wind not only increases evaporation, it also cools the pool down, at an alarming rate. The good work of the panels is thus being nullified by the wind. 5. Turn your water feature, pouring into the pool, “off”. Again, this little beautiful feature can make sure your pool is not comfortable when you do exercises in the pool. 6. Mark the water level. If your pool is leaking you constantly have to add water to the pool. This tap water is cold and also cools the pool down. 7. Lastly but most important. Do not over heat your pool. A fibreglass pool in specific does not like temperatures of more than 30 degrees. Doing this will cause the fibreglass to blister. Nature lends a helping hand What a pleasure to take in a breath of fresh air! Our immediate surroundings are often more polluted than we may realise – unfortunately we cannot always escape to some place where we can enjoy gulp after gulp of clean air.

SANSEVIERIA is the genus name of several species of plants. The most common species used indoors is Sansevieria trifasciata, commonly known as Snake Plant or Mother-inLaw's Tongue. The leaves have a undulating, snake like form. Mother-in-Law's tongue features a yellow stripe running the length of the leaf margins. Such an easy plant to grow, not requiring much water and tolerating a range of light levels Air cleaning properties Being a superb air purifier, the Sansevieria is an ideal plant for indoor spaces. Studies have consistently shown the plant to remove toxins such as formaldehyde, xylene, toluene, and nitrogen oxides. Thus industries and work spaces where chemicals abound in the products produced and used, would greatly benefit by keeping several Sansevieria around. The plant purifies air by absorbing toxins through the leaves and producing pure oxygen.
