Should you mediate? For various reasons not all mediations will result in nal resolution. However for numerous reasons there are so much to learn and gain from working through the obstacles and problems of a divorce together with the assistance of a neutral third party. Even if the matter is not settled in its entirety mediation always result in a measure of improvement of dispute management. Maybe you have the following questions of whether or not to mediate. Why even try to mediate if your partner is too unreasonable and there is too much hostility? During mediation, partners, takes turns to be the Speaker and the Listener. Each partner is given the opportunity to Speak, whilst the other has to Listen. Once the Listener listens until the Speaker nish his or her thoughts there will be no need for hostility from the Speaker's side as people generally only become hostile when they perceive that they are not heard. The Listener on the other hand, whilst listening, paraphrasing what the Speaker says and echoing the Speakers content back, gets the opportunity not to have to react immediately, process what is being said, resulting therein that there will also be no need to become defensive or hostile. Why should I mediate if It is not necessary to settle? Mediation never forces settlement, but it is likely to assist partners to gure out what they each need, what's non-
negotiable and what can be compromised by talking to each other in a situation which is managed by the mediator and where conict and hostility is reduced. What if the case mediation?

Make a stuffing by blitzing the bread, onions, leeks, parsley, garlic, lemon zest, green peppercorns & melted butter in the blender. Add chopped bacon to the mixture. Stuff the deboned shins with the bread mixture and roll up. Rub the outside of the shin with oil and season. Chop 2 leeks and place on a double layer of tin foil, add a sprig of thyme & rosemary and some whole garlic cloves. Pour more olive oil over it and wrap up tightly. Bake at 160ËšC for 4 hours. Once cooked, sliced and place in an ovenproof dish. Make a sauce with sherry, butter, green peppercorns, cream & chives. Reduce and pour over the meat. Nobody promised you a rose garden? So what, you can create your own! You will soon enough be inspired to the extent where you will see the world through rose coloured spectacles. You most probably have the following reasons for growing roses:

As a source of cut owers Nothing more pleasing than a vase of roses to enhance the ambience of any room, even on the toilet cistern! Hybrid Tea roses are best suited for this purpose, producing a profusion of owering stems with one bud per stem. English roses make good cut owers too, but Floribundas, Miniatures and Climbers should rather be left on the plant to beautify your garden. Labels at garden centres usually clearing indicate which type of rose it is, together with other relevant information.
You've bought your rose, now select a suitable position and prepare for planting. Dig a hole at least 40cmx40cm twice a deep as the plant container/bag. Soil dug out should be mixed thorough with acid compost and some coco peat. Fill the hole back approximately halfway, which should be the correct planting depth.
Colour Roses easily ower abundantly for six to twelve months a year and the enormous variation in growth patterns makes it feast for selecting varieties that give colour at different heights, eye level being very pleasing.
Water well to allow any air pockets to escape, only now mix in 1 cup of Efekto's bonemeal (if you own a dog, rather substitute this with 1 cup of Efekto's Superphosphate – your best friend is likely to smell the bonemeal and uproot your rose).
Scent – oh, glorious scent !
Remove the plant carefully from its container (if in a plastic bag, simply cut the bag on opposite sides from top to bottom), place in the centre of the hole and close up with the rest of your soil mixture. As soon as new growth appears, apply 60gr of Efekto's 8:1:5 once a month, only skipping May, June and July when the sap ow is slow and the metabolism low.

Ÿ Roses can withstand a wide range of
temperatures. However, hot dry conditions are by far preferred to humid conditions. If the thermometer drops below zero, the plant will simply go into winter dormancy with no frost damage at all. Milder day and night temperatures during the colder season will allow roses to keep on owering happily, providing they have been maintained properly.
Ÿ At least 5 hours of direct sunlight per day is necessary to allow free owering, anything less will result in fewer owers.
Ÿ Soil Preparation should allow for good aeration as well as efcient water retention. As roses prefer slightly acidic soil it is advisable to use Black Gold's acid compost instead of kraal manure or normal compost.
Ÿ Roses are water wise and once established
Ÿ Roses have fairly shallow root systems and do well in containers of most shapes and sizes.
Why 8:1:5? The N (8) P (1) K (5) is perfectly balanced. N(Nitrogen) is high in order to encourage strong stems to support rose heads as well as healthy foliage. P (phosphate) is sufcient as the roots are already established and K (Potassium) is also fairly high for vigorous blooming. As with humans and animals, well fed plants are far more disease resistant. Pests and unwelcome guests Regular inspection will enable quick nipping in the bud (or butt if necessary!). A broad spectrum insecticide like Efekto's Malasol or Garden Ripcord will take care of most gate crashers. If in doubt, there will always be someone at your local garden centre to give the correct advice.
In most parts of our country there is often a sharp uctuation in moisture and temperature levels, ideal conditions for fungus spores to develop. Powdery and downy mildew can be treated, but rust and black spot must be prevented. Spray healthy foliage once a fortnight with a fungicide, alternating between two products. Suggestions: Efekto's Funginex and Virikop. Pruning It’s necessary and actually quite simple - if you feel intimidated as a novice, assistance is available at any garden centre. Always seal cuts with Efekto's Steriseal, remove all foliage and spray with Efekto's Lime Sulphure to get rid of any mites and fungus spores that overwintered. Use decent pruning shears and disinfect before starting and before moving onto the next bush. Gloves will protect your hands not only from painful pricking, but from possible infection due to insecticide residue. Roses are red – a few suggestions that are absolute stunning in this colour:
