DIRECTOR’S

WELCOME

Welcome to the first edition of Projence Profile. It’s been a unique start to 2020 and it appears life will be different for a little while longer. We hope our staff, clients and business partners are managing well during these times. Thankfully for Projence, most of our work has continued as usual and we’ve used any additional downtime to improve our business practices.

Gavin Heydon

We worked with a local strategic branding agency to identify our cultural and operational values and explore how these are applied in our every-day practices. We also developed a positioning for Projence – one that provides us clear space in the market and is our guiding light when identifying new business opportunities. With the strategy set, we’ve brought the marketing resource in-house to continue in supporting our vision. This work highlighted the importance of enhancing our customer relationships, and as a result, we’ve introduced a new CRM (customer relationship management) system called HubSpot. Put simply, it’s a software platform that improves information ordering, streamlines communication and boosts reporting capabilities. Over time staff will be introduced to the platform and given access to identify and track new business opportunities. We look forward to what the future holds and keeping our team across new developments on our path for growth. Kind regards, Gavin Heydon and Mitchell Purvis

OUR BRAND

PLATFORM Below is our new brand platform. This is the output of multiple executive team workshops facilitated by our strategic brand agency. Brands are built from the inside and we see these guiding pillars as a true representation of who Projence is.

Our Promise

----------

We’re forward-thinking, experienced professionals. We integrate with your team as much or as little as you need. We deliver the results required by doing the work, doing it right and adding value at every stage.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Diligence

We are committed to the application of consistent effort and focus to our work. We approach our client’s projects with the utmost care - as though they are our own. We are persistent in the pursuit of excellence and the delivery of results. We are driven to provide a quality service, despite any challenges.

Trust is the core foundation for our success. We strive to act in a manner that builds mutual trust in our client relationships. To create trust, we are open and truthful, we do what we say we are going to do, and we honestly assess and report on risk.

Trust We apply a filter of high moral and ethical principles to our work and our relationships. Through a culture of treating each other, and our clients with trust and respect. We work with integrity - even when no one is watching.

Integrity

Own it

We are accountable. We are reliable. We are responsible. But we are more than these things - we own our successes and our failures. We honour our commitments to each other, and to our clients. From low-level tasks to the highest-level decision making, whatever the result - we will own it.

POST-PANDEMIC

PLANNING

It has been business as usual (or as usual as it can be) for Projence over the past six months. Thank you to all our wonderful staff and partners who’ve kept the wheels turning. Part of our “house-ordering” work is developing a strategy for business growth, which appears to be more critical now than ever before. To ensure we’re fit-to-fight on this journey, we’re streamlining processes, identifying new markets and nurturing existing customer relationships. We have recently been tendering with clients on specific projects and in locations that align closely with our strategic growth plans. We hope to share some exciting wins with you soon.

OUR PLANS OF

MANAGEMENT SERVICE We recently identified the need to support local councils with our Plans of Management service. Local councils in NSW are now required to submit Plans of Management for Community Crown Land Reserves by 30 June 2021. Using our skills and expertise in project management, we’ve developed a 5-step approach to developing Plans of Management.

PARTNERING WITH

PORT WARATAH Projence was awarded the contract to provide project management support to deliver the Carrington Coal Terminal (CCT) Stormwater Management Project – Stage 3 on behalf of Port Waratah. Benjamin Coburn will serve as the Project Lead with executive support from our director Gavin Heydon. The project will see the completion of the water storage requirements for the site stormwater system at CCT, bringing the onsite storage to 30 Megalitres (ML). This scope of work includes the ground improvement works, and the construction and commissioning of the third and final tank of the project.

OUR RECENT

NEW BUSINESS WINS Over the past several months we have successfully been awarded a number of exciting new projects that align to our strategic targeting plans. Some of these include: JHR Safe Working Project – we recently won a contract with John Holland Rail to audit safe working accreditations and then implement a process to rectify findings. The project commenced in July and was completed in August. Projence was awarded the project thanks to our amazing track record and existing client relationship. Gunnedah Airport – in October we started work with Gunnedah Shire Council to complete a case assessment and develop documentation to ensure Council receive CASA certification to the new requirement. Projence was approached to tender for the project thanks to a referral and was awarded the work because of our ability to deliver. Brisbane Fields Road Levee and Flood Gate – Projence commenced a 12-month project in September with the Department of Primary Industries and Environment (DPIE). The scope includes project managing the options assessment, design, stakeholder engagement, procurement, and construction of rectification works. Projence and DPIE have a long-standing professional relationship. We won the contract because of our proven record and existing relationship. Vickery Extension Project (Extended) – we recently continued our partnership with Whitehaven Coal providing the Owners Team for the Definitive Feasibility Study for the Vickery project. Projence has been working on this project for over 12 months and we hope to continue supporting Whitehaven Coal for years to come. Australian Rail and Track Corporation (ARTC) – in September we won a tender to provide ARTC with contract administration and site supervision support to the Hunter Valley team. We expect the contract to take 6-12 months. Projence was awarded the successful tender thanks to our quality of resources.
