Your executive He is a strategic thinker and takes a proactive approach to every task. Gavin works with stakeholders across all project phases to deliver robust business cases, sound options assessments for linear and non-linear projects, and comprehensive feasibility and pre-feasibility studies for multidiscipline projects across the mining, power, rail and port industries.
Gavin Heydon Director
Gavin has over 25 years’ project development and construction experience and since 2007 he has focused on delivering results for project owners in the development, construction and approval of their projects. Gavin’s broad range of skills provides everything from strong technical engineering expertise to on-point project management consultancy.
He has direct engineering and management experience in a range of rail construction projects. Gavin was the Project Manager for both the Wambo Coal and Maules Creek rail projects, as well as the Capital Works Manager for John Holland Rail on the Country Regional Network (for TNSW), and the Construction Manager for the Hunter Valley and North Coast lines as part of Rail Infrastructure Corporation. Gavin has always demonstrated a high degree of commercial acumen with a focus on cost and governance – essential factors in all internal and external operational relationships. His key personal attributes include the ability to influence, strategic
thinking, leadership, demand for achievement of program goals, and the ability to work within and lead a team. He holds loyalty, honesty and decisiveness as core values. As a happily married father of five young men - and three fur children - Gavin’s time when not at work normally involves his family and attending to cattle, sheep or fences on their property. While Gav’s not strategically guiding projects and keeping all stakeholders on track, being outdoors plays a big part in his life - be it walks with his wife or surfing. gavinh@projence.com.au 0427 702 204
