What a busy and exciting week on campus as we complete our new technology infrastructure rebuild This will make our campus network much more reliable and much faster as we continue to upgrade our campus. Our goal is to make sure that our teachers are equipped to engage our students at a high level and also that our students have the ability to utilize technology for their assignments. In addition, it should prepare them for college and their life beyond graduation

As I mentioned last week, the work has started on our campus driveways and parking lots as well. We apologize for the temporary inconvenience as we patch some of the problem areas But, we are anxious about the new Lower School entryway and PAC paving that will be done (weather permitting) over Spring Break.

Lastly, thanks to all of you who have returned your contracts for 2023-24. We are filling seats quickly, and we are blessed to have so many new families interested in joining our school for next year. Please remember that we cannot guarantee a seat after the Feb. 28th deadline due to high new student demand, so please get your contract into the business office as quickly as possible We love our TRA students and families and do not want to lose anyone. If you have any questions or need assistance in any way, please contact Suzanne Davidson at sdavidson@rebelmail.net. She would be happy to assist you. Lastly, if you are applying for tuition assistance, please get that paperwork in as soon as possible. As you know, those funds are limited, and the admissions committee cannot reserve funds and cannot make those decisions until the paperwork is complete in the system. If you have any questions about the tuition assistance process, please reach out to Lisa Cole at lcole@rebelmail.net. She will be happy to assist you.

Thanks to all of you for sending us these incredible young people and have a wonderful rest of the week!

Re-enrollment links have been sent via email. The deadline for current families to reenroll in February 28. New family enrollment begins March 1.

Senior, Sam Cannon, was selected to represent TRA at the South Tipton County Chamber of Commerce as the February Student of the Month. Sam is the son of Scott and Stephanie Cannon. Outside of school, he enjoys playing golf, hunting, and cooking Sam is Vice President of The National Honor Society, and has been named to the honor roll list every semester while in high school. He played varsity football, basketball, and baseball during all four years of high school. Sam attends First Baptist Church in Millington, Tennessee, he is an active member of TRA’s Science Club, Art Club, and Young Life. Sam’s favorite memories at TRA are creating lifelong friendships and making it to the state tournament in baseball and basketball in the same year. What he will miss most about his time at TRA are the people he has met and the friendships he has made. Sam plans to attend Mississippi State University to major in Finance. Congratulations, Sam, we are so proud of you! Sophomore, Allie Willis, was chosen by the staff for the February underclassman Student of the Month Allie came to Tipton-Rosemark after Christmas of her freshman year, but you would never know that she has not always been a student here. She jumped right in, getting involved in many areas of school life on campus. Allie is the daughter of Adam and Jodi Willis.

Don’t miss the Fine Arts Talent Show this Saturday in the PAC! Students in Kindergarten through 6th grade will perform between 2:00 and 4:00 PM, and Students in 7th grade through 12th grade will perform between 5:00 & 7:00 PM.

She is a member of the Beta club and has been named to the headmaster’s list every grading period. Allie also plays varsity softball and basketball for the Rebels, and is a valuable contributor to both programs. When asked what her favorite thing about attending TRA was, she said, “The atmosphere at TRA is very welcoming. My favorite memory is meeting my best friend, Kayla, and competing in the softball state playoffs.” Allie is looking forward to making many more great memories at TRA! One staff member had this to say about why they chose Allie to be the February Student of the Month, “She always works hard at everything she does, especially in the classroom, all while juggling multiple sports.” Well done, Allie, we are so proud of you!

Mrs. Jenny Vego’s sophomore World History classes welcomed a guest speaker this week, former TRA faculty member and head football coach, Collin Pinner. Coach Pinner studied history in college and had the opportunity to do a European study abroad term focusing on the Holocaust. He spoke to students about the realities of that period in history, and the impact seeing those historical sites in person had on his perspective regarding the Holocaust. We are grateful to Coach Pinner for taking the time to come and share such valuable information with our students. The relationships we have with stakeholders and those within the community are one of the many strengths about our academic program. Because of their willingness to spend time sharing valuable information and experiences with our students, we are blessed to have the opportunity to further enrich the academic experience provided to our students.
