We will be granting a wish to a 5 year old boy, Anderson, next Wednesday, February 2nd. The parade will start at 9 a.m. outside the Upper School Entrance and work its way around to the Middle School and Elementary. All students are invited to attend. No parents or outside guests.

Make-a-Wish REQUIRES all events to be outdoors and all participants must be masked for the safety of the child.

We will have additional masks on hand for those that need one during the parade.

Anderson's wish was for a pull behind camper, and we are excited to celebrate him. Thank you to everyone who donated to last year's Charity of Choice in order to make this happen for Anderson.

Noisemakers and pom poms are welcome as we cheer on Anderson!

Upper School Review

BY STEPHANIE WEHRER Oscar Ni ght was a great success! The j uni or cl ass di d an excellent j ob hosti ng a ni ght of recogni ti on for our seni or students. The program i ncl uded superlati ve awards, al ong wi th some entertai nment and door pri zes. I t was ni ce to see our students all dressed up, and enj oyi ng a few normal mi l estones duri ng thei r j uni or and seni or years.

Last week, Ti pton-Rosemark Academy’ s December and January South Ti pton Chamber Students of the Month were recogni zed, al ong wi th thei r fami li es. Our December Student of the Month was seni or Al exander Bl ue, and our January Student of the Month was seni or Payne Ful l en. Both young men, exempli fy character and l eadershi p qual i ti es that represent i mportant pi l l ars of what i t means to be a student at Ti pton-Rosemark Academy. Great j ob, fel l as!

Thi s week, Ms. Vego has wel comed some speci al guests to her seni or Economi cs cl asses to tal k about entrepreneurshi p and corporati ons. Former faculty member and TRA graduate, Mr. Coach Justi n Col e shared wi th our students all about starti ng hi s own woodworki ng busi ness, Wi l d Connecti on Woodworks. Mr. Cole explai ned to students what was i nvol ved i n owni ng and runni ng your own local busi ness. Today, the class was bei ng vi si ted by Ms. Jul i ana Baker, a TRA stakehol der who works for Internati onal Paper j oi ned the cl asses today to tal k about corporati ons. We are very blessed to have members of our school communi ty who share thei r experi ences wi th our students.

Lower School Review

BY SUSAN CRANFORD Brrrr!!! It is cold outside and our students are having fun with various winter and snow activities this week. Our PreK-2 classes built a snowman in STEAM and had so much fun pretending the snowman was real! Our 5K students did an art and writing activity and made “melted snowmen”. They made the “snow” out of shaving cream and glue and then wrote a sentence on why their snowman melted. These were super funny to read! Fifth graders returned Monday to a winter theme in Mrs. Amy Henning’s class. Snowflakes hung from the ceiling and they made snow globes with a winter pic of themselves. This is a review week for their standards and all of the stations in the room have a winter theme but are centered around a standard that has been taught. Our fourth graders had a hot chocolate theme with spelling words this week and loved making and delivering hot chocolate to teachers and staff as a treat. This put a smile on many faces!

If your child has a phone or a smart watch, your child will be asked to put it in his/ her backpack during the day. These are a distraction to your student, the other students and the teacher. If you need to get in touch with your child during the day, please follow the guidelines your teacher has given you or call the elementary office.
