Toughness? Spi ri t? Gri t? Al l I know i s that our team found the mettl e to overcome a defi ci t and wi n a hard-fought game. Duri ng the run, each member of the team di d somethi ng speci al to l ead the effort. For some, i t was great defense, for some a steal , for some a basket, and for some cheeri ng on thei r teammates from the bench, but each contri buted i n thei r own uni que way to the wi n.

Upper School Review

Gracen was crowned l ast Fri day ni ght i n front of a ful l house, between the gi rls and boys games agai nst Tri ni ty. Lol a was crowned on Saturday i n our home gym, and we coul d not be more proud of ei ther of these wonderful young l adi es!

I am al so very exci ted to recogni ze al l of the school ’ s spel l i ng bee parti ci pants last week. Each of you worked so hard to be abl e to compete, and your efforts have not gone unnoti ced. However, I woul d l i ke to extend a speci al congratulati ons to 8th grader, Ri l ey Tayl or for bei ng the 2022 TRA spel l i ng bee champi on!

And the award goes to…! Thi s weekend our j uni ors wi l l host Oscar Ni ght for our seni or students and present them wi th thei r cl ass superl ati ve awards. CONTINUED I n cl osi ng thi s week, I woul d l i ke to take a moment to encourage you to focus on the thi ngs that matter most i n our l i ves, and to encourage your chi l dren to do the same. I t i s so easy to get di stracted by the dai l y stresses of l i fe, or consumed by the negati vi ty that seems to be more and more preval ent each day. Each day we encounter fami l y members, peers or even strangers, and whi l e some may be pl easant, others may not be. The truth i s, we never know what anyone may be goi ng through or faci ng, unl ess they tel l us. I want to chal l enge mysel f, and each of you, to not i mmedi atel y assume the worst of someone because they demonstrate l ess than ki nd behavi or. I ’ ve l earned that behavi or i s general l y the vi si bl e mani festati on of a deeper expl anati on.

Jesus sai d i t i s easy to l ove those who l ove you, but He i nstead cal l s us to l ove the peopl e who are the most di ffi cul t to l ove, the ones who certai nl y don’ t make that an easy task. Jesus goes on further to cal l on us to be merci ful , j ust as our Father i s al so merci ful . My prayer i n thi s season of humani ty we seem to be i n, i s that we woul d seek to see peopl e as God sees them and l et that gui de our i nteracti ons.

It will be held in the multi-purpose room from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

This is one of the absolute CUTEST events we do and I know the girls will be super excited for their date with daddy!

Our current el ementary chapel theme i s Frui ts of the Spi ri t. Today’ s chapel was the frui t of peace.

We had a speci al guest El sa (El l a Wi l l i amson) who spoke to our el ementary students about peace.

She encouraged al l of us to l ook to God for peace i n ti mes of worry or troubl e. Our students l oved the message and l oved seei ng El sa.

Fi fth grade students made tri fol d boards as a concl usi on to thei r study on weather. Thi s was a great group proj ect that taught our students how to work wi th others to achi eve a common goal .

Thi s was a wonderful acti vi ty to practi ce thi s ski l l whi l e showi ng our knowl edge about many aspects of weather.
