The other thing that you think about is the many things that you are grateful for at your school like the many amazing teachers who arrive early and stay late to meet the needs of our students. We also have an incredible administrative team who work so hard to meet the needs of our faculty and families. Most importantly, we have wonderful students who are placed in our care each day and who make our school so special. We are also blessed to have the ability for our children to worship freely each day on campus Thanks to all of you for choosing Tipton-Rosemark Academy and for sending us these wonderful young people. We are abundantly blessed to have your family at our school!

Upper School Review

We were thrilled to welcome our upper school students back after a nice, and hopefully restful, Fall Break. Our teachers didn’t waste any time getting back into the grind in their classrooms. We have had some very interesting instructional activities going on to begin our second quarter of school.

Ms. Hannah Maddux used a visual demonstration of a coordinate plane lesson, truly bringing the coordinates and each axis to life for her students!

Biology II students in Ms. Watson’s room, participated in a lab activity to examine which parts of a plant we are really eating, with various fruits and vegetables!

Additionally, Ms. Watson’s Computer Science students conducted a hands on demonstration in which they used strings to represent internet connections. The challenges were to use the fewest amount of strings, accommodate for cut connections, and stay directly connected to everyone in the group.

Ms. Maxwell’s Digital Photography classes have been working with lighting and changing angles for photo composition. I can’t wait to see more finished products from this area of focus, it is always one of my favorite photography aspects they work on!

Today, our students led a chapel for the upper school. I don’t know about the other adults in the room, but I know for me, it was something my heart desperately needed to witness. The message focused on the Truth that Jesus is the Living Water, and how those who abide in Him will never thirst again. Students were also challenged to pinpoint something that might be holding them back from fully surrendering their trust and faith in Jesus. They placed their pieces of paper that contained their personal barriers, on a board located on the stage. Then, our student leaders demonstrated by pouring water over the dissolving paper (none of the other students knew it was dissolving paper at the time), and witnessed the water wash away those fears, doubts, and struggles. This was a perfect depiction of how Jesus, the Living Water, will simply wash away our sins, fears, and doubts if we only surrender our lives to Him I was so proud of our students and seeing their hearts open to The Lord and to each other in a time of reverence and worship.

This week, first grade enjoyed the fun book, Creepy Carrots. They read the book and worked on the skill of retelling a story and did some creative writing, too. They created some creepy carrots and wrote about how they would stop the carrots from coming after them. They love this book!

Fourth grade enjoyed the sunny, but cool weather on Tuesday. They went outside for math! We love having fun while learning! They also have recently learned about the American Revolution Students created a one page flier on their computer about their favorite part of the revolution

Report cards went home Wednesday, and I am so proud of all our students They have worked hard this first nine weeks, and it shows!! Thank you for being the support person at home and making sure homework and skill practice is done at home, too. It definitely takes all of us working together in order for your child to experience the most success.

Our lettuce project is going well! Mrs. Amanda’s first grade class and Mrs. Claire Gezley’s middle school science class are doing a great job making sure it is watered and the nutrients are correct in the soil. This is so cool to watch, and I love that the two classes are both involved
