Upper School Review

BY STEPHANIE WEHRER Thi s week has been al l about basketbal l and seni or proj ect presentati ons, i n our upper school !

On Tuesday and Wednesday, seni or students presented the cul mi nati on of thei r group servi ce proj ects compl eted throughout the semester.

There were students that served wi thi n the TRA school communi ty, and others who met needs from as far away as the fl ood rel i ef efforts i n Waverl y, Tennessee. Suffi ce i t to say, these students represented Ti pton-Rosemark Academy, thei r respecti ve fami l i es, and themsel ves extremel y wel l . The proj ects were meani ngful , and the i mpact of thei r efforts was evi dent through each of thei r presentati ons thi s week. I am so proud of these seni ors, and I pray that thi s experi ence has been one that conti nues to i mpact thei r l i ves wel l beyond the wal l s of thi s school , and serves to conti nue shapi ng thei r perspecti ves of servi ng the needs of others throughout the rest of thei r l i ves.

Last Thursday, our mi ddl e school basketbal l teams faced Grace St. Luke at home. We may have come up short of the wi ns that ni ght, but these are hard worki ng ki ds who wi l l be posti ng pl enty of W’ s throughout the rest of the season. I n fact, our 7th and 8th grade boys team brought home a

The varsi ty basketbal l teams have been i n acti on si nce l ast week as wel l . The boys and gi rl s both faced Ki ngsbury on Fri day, wi th the gi rl s bri ngi ng home a sol i d wi n, and our boys comi ng up j ust short after a hard fought battl e. Shout out to Raven Si ms, who scored 41 poi nts agai nst Ki ngsbury, wi th 9 rebounds! On Monday, the boys and gi rl s both cranked out wi ns over Carrol l Academy. The varsi ty teams wi l l face Ki ngsbury agai n on Fri day, but thi s ti me at home! Be sure to come out and support our Rebel s!

Fi nal l y, I want to recogni ze and cel ebrate the l atest update to our ACT 30+ Cl ub. These students work hard, and we are extremel y proud of thi s notabl e achi evement!

Our fourth graders have begun a “ Chri stmas Around the Worl d” study and ki cked i t off wi th l earni ng about Chri stmas i n Russi a. Mrs. Dani el and Mrs. Karen had a speci al guest who i s actual l y from Russi a to vi si t and share wi th the cl asses. The students were very i nterested i n l earni ng about the di fferent ways Chri stmas i s cel ebrated around the worl d.
