On World Environment Day, Reliance Foundation launches ‘Plant4Life’ initiative for a greener tomorrow

‘Plant4Life’, a communitydriven environment initiative by Reliance Foundation to enhance green cover and to care for the Earth was launched on the occasion of World Environment Day on June 5. Over the course of the next few months, 500,000 saplings are set to be planted across the country with the support of at least 50,000 volunteers through ‘Plant4Life’. The campaign aims to build a buzz around environment conservation and involvement of the community. The accused passenger named Jitish Ramji Pindoriya (from Sukhpar, Bhuj taluka, Kutch district of Gujarat, age 45 years; currently lives in 217, Ashburton avenue, PIN IG39EN London) was carrying cigarettes’ and a cigarette lighter in Air India flight no AI-172 (from London to Ahmedabad). Rs. 16 lakh fee for B.Com; NSUI cadres protest at Ahmedabad University

Main opposition Congress party’s students’ wing National Students Union of India (NSUI) cadres today staged a protest at the campus of Ahmedabad University for charging a fee of Rs 16 lakh per student for the course of Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com). The NSUI cadres alleged that Ahmedabad University, a private university by the Lalbhai family, charges a fee of Rs 16 lakh per student for the Bcom course. NSUI held a march from CEPT university gate to the admin office of Ahmedabad University in protest. NSUI members entered the campus by jumping the closed gate of the university after tussling with the police. Around 50 members entered the campus.
