The Ahmedabad East Traffic Police have nabbed one Akbar Khalifa Hussain, a rickshaw driver after a video went viral on social media showcasing that a he was extorting money from passengers. A video went viral on social media showing a rickshaw driver picking up a passenger from Kalupur railway station and demanding money. Subsequently, the rickshaw driver dropped the passenger on the road and forcefully took the money. The incident caught the attention of the police, who initiated an investigation. After apprehending the rickshaw driver, the police seized the rickshaw and initiated legal proceedings against him. The authorities have informed the Regional Transport Office (RTO) to cancel the rickshaw
driver’s licence and permit. Following the viral video, the police traced the rickshaw driver based on the rickshaw’s number. The rickshaw puller, named Akbar Khalifa Hussain, resides in Gomtipur. Chandkheda police in the city have booked the owner of SG highway-based Marutinandan restaurant under IPC section 374 and juvenile justice act section 79 for employing child laborers. The accused Madansingh Lalsingh Rajput owns the Maruti Nandan Hotel. According to a police complaint filed by Shital Sanjeev Pradip who operates the Bachpan Bachao organization, the city police crime branch’s AHTU was contacted for help to save children working in the restaurant, following which two constables were allocated for the raid. As many as six children were found working in Maruti Nandan as laborers.

However, the victims said that they were being paid only Rs.1,000 to Rs. 2,000 only. They said they were working for the last one and a half months.
During a routine patrol, unarmed head constable Mahendrasingh, accompanied by his team from SOG Crime, received information regarding a person named Anas Shaikh. It was reported that Anas Shaikh was present near Palatial Homes, in front of the Vejalpur Factory AMTS bus stand, engaged in the illegal retail sale of MD drugs. Responding to the tip-off, the SOG crime team established surveillance at the mentioned location, resulting in the apprehension of individuals involved in drug trafficking. Upon
interrogation, the suspect identified himself as Mohmand Anas, also known as Heso Sheikh (23 years old, residing in Daryapur). The team seized a quantity of 12 grams of Mephedrone drugs, equivalent to 200 ml, with an estimated street value of Rs. 1.22 lakh from the
possession of Anas alias Heso. The SOG team confiscated the drugs and arrested Anas. During questioning, Anas revealed that he had obtained the drugs from an individual named Shahrukh, residing in Vejalpur who is allegedly involved in the retail sale of drugs.

and Dumad Chowk which are considered as accident zones. In addition The possibility of the traffic problem also easing cannot be ruled out. Gujarat has achieved the third position in terms of total large-scale solar installations in the country, a report called ‘India Solar Market Update 2023’ by Mercom India said. According to the report, During the first quarter of 2023, Gujarat experienced an impressive 85% increase in such installations, while solar installations across India declined by 30% in the same period. From January to March 2023, Gujarat installed 261 megawatts (MW) of solar power, compared to 141MW in the previous quarter. This
consistent growth has made Gujarat the state with the thirdhighest capacity for large-scale solar installations since the first quarter of 2022. Out of the total 1.9GW of solar installations in India during the January to March 2023 quarter, Gujarat accounted for 19% of new installations, lagging behind Karnataka (21%) and Rajasthan (42%), the report further states. The increase can be attributed to the commissioning of Phase 9 of the 500MW solar projects by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) and the development of a large-scale project in Rajkot.

Employees of the Rajasthan government will now be able to draw their salaries in advance through the Earned Salary Advance Drawal Scheme of the state government.
The Finance Department of the Rajasthan government announced the same on May 31. With this, Rajasthan has become the first state in India, to start an advance salary facility for its workers. It has been implemented for all employees from June 1. This facility will be administered through Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS) 3.0, where the other financial institutions and service providers will be
available, read the official announcement. The state government employee can take multiple advances in a month but it cannot total more than 50 per cent of the net monthly salary which is payable. If the employee takes an advance salary before the 21st of any month, then the same will be recovered from their current salary month.

As part of this collaboration, Microsoft will offer a wide range of courses, including training in AI, cloud computing, web development and cybersecurity skills for nearly 6,000 students and 200 faculty members.
This training will empower young students with industryrelevant skills, enhancing their employability, and connecting them to relevant job opportunities. In addition to future skills training for AI fluency and fundamentals, cloud computing and web development, students have the opportunity to learn from industry experts and engage in deep-dive sessions, multifaceted capstone projects. Train-the-Trainer workshops will be conducted to empower faculty members on AI fluency and fundamentals, cloud computing, web development, Power BI, and soft skills.
