With safety being a top priority for our members, their guests, and our staff, we will be launching a new state-of-the-art weather detection system called Perry Weather. This warning system has a Widget that is available to ALL members of Suntree Country Club. You can save this widget on the home screen of your computer or cell phone for easy access. There is also an app available in your phone's app store.
Download Perry Weather app for iPhone
Download Perry Weather app for Android
The system will notify danger for all outside activities by using one long blast (Red Alert), and to resume outside activities, there will be 3 short blasts (All Clear). The system will be designed to abide by the noise ordinances within Suntree to be respectful of the residents, but allow us full coverage during pool, golf, and tennis play. The units will be located on the golf courses in multiple locations and on the cart barn for full property coverage. The sirens on this system are designed so that they are automatically triggered when lightning is detected within a 7-mile radius (with management staff receiving advance warnings at a 15 and 25-mile radius strike detection). When the sirens sound, all outside activities are to cease, and all members or guests are to return to safety in one of the Clubhouses.
Perry Weather has a 20-minute countdown timer from the last strike that can be tracked on the widget/app for expected resume of play. Perry Weather can integrate with any golf cart gps software if the Club chooses to add this feature in the future.

General Info

• Addition to notes for members: On the bookings page there is a place for notes where our staff will be placing any court condition updates as well as the tab under Racquets Central labeled weather update.
• Golf carts and cars/vehicles are to be parked in traditional parking spaces and not on the grass or pavers surrounding the pickleball courts. With all of the improvements to the grass and landscaping around the facility, we want to keep it look great all around the Club!
• Please also be sure to lower the umbrellas once you're finished using themthis will increase their longevity and keep the Racquet Center looking nice!
• Please register your guests on the court booking system using their full name.
• Guests are permitted to play one time per calendar month.
• The guest fee is $15+tax per player.
• Members looking to create any USTA Teams will need to submit the request to Paul or Claudia to be submitted for approval by the Racquets Committee that generally meets the second Tuesday of each month.
• Be sure to have the Perry Weather app installed on your phone so you can track the lightning alarm alerts from your phone. Once the lightning alarm sounds, all players and staff must take cover. The 'all clear' will only come 20 minutes after the last lightning strike within 7 miles. You can track this count down on the app. We want everyone to stay safe out there!
• Please register your guests on the court booking system when you reserve your court. Be sure to add the FULL NAME.

Winning Edge

Go with the Flow
When you are at the net and being pulled sideways off your spot, you should attempt to hit your volley in the same direction your body is moving. Most people naturally hit across their bodies. When you are moved out of position and do this, it gets the unit out of position and opens holes to pass your team. So, remember to just go with the flow and everything will be alright.

"I will play against 3 of you, while simultaneously coaching you through play."
Coach Mike
One of the main advantages of “3 and Me” pickleball lessons is the balance between personalized attention and small group dynamics. With only three students per lesson, the instructor can tailor the instruction to meet each player’s needs. Whether you’re working on your serve, return, or net play, the pro can provide specific feedback and drills designed to address your unique strengths and weaknesses.
