Laura did a great job of qualifying for singles by winning two matches. Unfortunately, she sustained an injury in the second match. She did try to play through it, but ended up losing a close match to Anastasia Potopova. She tried to get herself prepared enough for the doubles but was not able to play. She is now working on getting her body ready for the US Open in

Member Dinners
If any members plan to attend the US Open, please contact Director of Racquet Sports, Paul Davis, to confirm the dates for the Suntree Country Club Member Dinner. These special dinners are compliments of the Club - we love seeing our membership enjoying tennis around the world!
The tentative date of the dinner will be Thursday, August 28th.

Coverage Area
Viewing the picture should give you a different view of the responsibility of the net player. This shows the active willingness to pressure the middle of the court. Active net players create mistakes from your opponents - so stay active and “want the ball."
General Info
• Golf carts and cars/vehicles are to be parked in traditional parking spaces and not on the grass or pavers surrounding the pickleball courts. With all of the improvements to the grass and landscaping around the facility, we want to keep it look great all around the Club!
• Please also be sure to lower the umbrellas once you're finished using them - this will increase their longevity and keep the Racquet Center looking nice!
• Please register your guests on the court booking system using their full name.
• Guests are permitted to play one time per calendar month.
• The guest fee is $15+tax per player.
• Members looking to create any USTA Teams will need to submit the request to Paul or Claudia to be submitted for approval by the Racquets Committee that generally meets the second Tuesday of each month.
• Be sure to have the Perry Weather app installed on your phone so you can track the lightning alarm alerts from your phone. Once the lightning alarm sounds, all players and staff must take cover. The 'all clear' will only come 20 minutes after the last lightning strike within 7 miles. You can track this count down on the app. We want everyone to stay safe out there!
• Please register your guests on the court booking system when you reserve your court. Be sure to add the FULL NAME.
