Turning Turner’s new site into a destination Forget about waiting until the auction – Turners customers can buy their dream car on the spot at the new site at Mount Maunganui, where there’s more room and plenty of parking. Daniel Peet from Turners says the new site on Hull Rd means choosing Turners is no longer a spur of the moment decision for customers – it’s a destination. “We’ve got good quality cars available at good prices.” Potential buyers can see what they’ve got

on offer at the grand opening of the new premises, with an open day on Saturday, March 28, from 9am-4pm. They’ll have a special finance rate on the day too of just 11.95 per cent. About 20 cars will go under the hammer on the day, starting at 11am. “There’ll be all sorts up for auction,” says Daniel. People can also marvel at a brand new 2015 McLaren P1 street-legal super car, valued at $2.5m. Daniel says it’s one of 375 made in the world. But that’s definitely not up for auction. “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see it,” says Daniel. They’re also giving away a 2005 Honda Fit. All people need to do is turn up, fill in an entry form, watch it get blown around inside More FM’s prize machine, and hopefully be pulled out as the winning ticket. The excitement of the draw all unfolds at 12pm. There’ll also be a free sausage sizzle to tempt everyone’s tastebuds come lunchtime. Daniel says the aim of the open day is for residents to come and see what’s happening at their bigger and better premises’ grand opening. He says Turners offer a range of vehicles

Thanking the Focus on success Turners’ team Marra Construction would like to thank the project team Turners, Focus on Property and Ignite Architects and all subcontractors and suppliers for the successful completion of this project. “We appreciate having the opportunity to work alongside Focus on Property,” say the team. “The project ran very smoothly and was completed on time and to an agreed budget.” The two buildings on-site involved demolition and reconstruction. The main building is made up of a combination of timber-framed walls and concrete tilt panels and inside has new offices with glass partitions, new lighting and data. The other building to be used for vehicle preparation involved new roofing, cladding, roller doors. The yard was also revamped with new carparks and flood lighting. “We wish the Turners team all the best in their new premises.”

Focus on Property congratulates Turners on moving to their new purpose built site after a prompt $1.3million development process. Turners, the largest car auction house in New Zealand, moved into the newly fitted Hull Rd building, on a 8097m2 site, in February relocating from their previous hub on Hewletts Rd. Focus on Property director Kevin Baker says leading up to the move a six-month demolition and construction project was handled by site manager Roger Doddrell of Marra Construction between August 2014 and February 2015. And it couldn’t have goner smoother, completing the project successfully and on time for Turners heading into a nine-year lease. The demolition work was undertaken by A&J Demolition, roofing by Roof the Bay, and on-site carpentry and repairs done by Peter Bath Taylor Builders. “We take pride in completing successful projects for our clients and we look forward to managing this property into the future for the success of both our tenant and to assure future asset value for our client,” says Kevin.
