Get to Know The CEO Larry Prosser has built an impressive career in the financial services industry. Here, he pulls back the curtain on his rise to the top. Can you tell me more about your role? I am the CEO and founder of Beyond Merchant Capital; my role involves looking after our shareholders and funders based out of South Africa as well as developing partnerships here in Australia that enables us to empower and educate small and medium size businesses about the best ways to fund working capital and payment solutions to help manage their cash flows in a responsible way. I’m also responsible for the overall strategy of the business and our vision is to become the market leader in providing innovative financial services to small and medium size businesses in Australia How long have you been in the industry? I studied Law and then a degree in Applied Finance and ever since have been in financial services working for some of the biggest insurance companies and banks in South Africa
THE CHALLENGE OF DOING SOMETHING THAT OTHERS THINK IS NOT POSSIBLE INSPIRES ME, and London before starting my own business – this became part of one of the biggest telco listings on the JSE in South Africa before leaving to come to Australia for a better and safer life for my family. What inspires you? The challenge of doing something that others think is not possible inspires me, it’s really making the impossible possible to tackle a problem and never give up, no matter how challenging. How do you look after yourself? Love
