The Jupiler Pro League
The shortened football season of 2019 - 2020 goes into the history books as one of the strangest seasons we have ever experienced. However, some actors in Belgian football have not been idle. We list the most relevant trends and the most important club news. The Jupiler Pro League made the necessary decisions for the start of the new season. The competition format changes. In the coming season, 18 clubs will play at the highest level. At the end of the season, a shortened play-off period will be played with the first four teams from the regular season, the so-called Champion Play-offs. Seats 5-8 will also have the opportunity to secure a European ticket through a shortened play-off 2 program. The last of the rankings drops to 1B. Number 17 of the competition plays a barrage match against the number two in 1B for relegation or promotion.
New shirt STVV
Macron is the new clothing partner of STVV! The Italian sportswear company designed the new design and describes it as follows: “A leap forward, that is the concept of the home shirt”. The away shirts have the same design as last season and are unmistakable because of the “Victory-line” on the chest. This design was previously designed by the Japanese company “Beams”.
