Dear Families & Friends,
This week, our Leadership Team joined teams from across Australia, for the National Catholic Education Conference, held in Cairns. Areas of focus have included leading change, family engagement, embracing synodality in Catholic schools, measuring and tracking school improvement, the role of AI in education, culturally responsive practices and creating learning focused classrooms.
In reflecting on our 3 days of professional learning, we have come away feeling exceptionally proud of all we are achieving and implementing at St Michael’s and feel validated on the processes and documents we have introduced over the past year, including our Vision for Learning
Congratulations to our School Choir for their exceptional performance at the Catholic Schools Spirit of the Arts Festival. A parent from another school emailed me to congratulate our school, on not only their performance, but on their behaviour and presentation. Thank you to Mr Ostaszewskyj for the time, love and energy he pours not only into our Choir, but our entire Music Program. Every time I hear the Choir sing it makes my heart smile.
May you all have a wonderful long weekend We look forward to seeing you back at school on Wednesday
Michelle Christian Principal
Loving God, We thank You for guiding us through the first half of this term
Bless our students, teachers and families with strength and joy as we continue to learn, grow and share Your love with one another
May our classrooms be filled with kindness, our playgrounds with laughter and our hearts with gratitude.
Help us to stay focused, work together and SHINE in all that we do. Amen

Congratulations to our Year 4 students who made their First Communion recently. Special thanks to Father Suresh, Miss Campagna, Mr Ostaszewskyj and the school choir, our wonderful parents, parishioners and all the helpers who made the day so memorable.
Special Thanks To Our Participants
Our Kindy students had a delightful day at the Cuddly Animal Farm, where they enjoyed hands-on experiences feeding and cuddling friendly farm animals. The excursion sparked joy and curiosity, creating lasting memories of laughter, learning and furry friends.
Students from Kindy, Pre-Primary, Year 2 and Year 3 were treated to an unforgettable West Oz Wildlife incursion, bringing the wonders of the animal kingdom right to our school! From slithering snakes and scaly lizards to the soft charm of a koala and the magic of a sugar glider, students had the chance to get up close with some incredible native creatures.
Limited places remain in our Pre-Kindy program for 2025 and Kindy 2026 is now full.
We are now accepting enrolments for Pre-Kindy 2026, and Kindergarten 2027 and beyond Don’t delay… spaces are filling quickly!
