MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Families & Friends,

One of the things I love the most about working at St Michael’s is the spirit of our community. On Friday 25 April, a group of our Year 6 leaders represented St Michael’s at our local ANZAC Day Service. Thank you to Lachlan, Lucy, Joel, Lilijana & Pippa for representing our school with such reverence and pride. Following the service, I was incredibly proud to receive feedback from a member of the public who attended the service, who shared with me how mature and respectful our students were. Our whole school will be partcipating in an ANZAC incursion this coming week.

On Monday 28 April, our staff participated in a Making Jesus Real professional development day. MJR is a whole school approach that brings the Christian faith to life for students by showing them how to live it every day. Our students then had the opportunity to work with Mitch, the founder of MJR yesterday. We are excited to give our students all the tools they need to spread and recognise the Spirit of Jesus each day, and to find the God Moments that are always happening around them.

As we begin a new school term, I look forward to feeling, hearing and seeing the Spirit of Jesus growing even stronger throughout our community.

May you have a beautiful week ahead.

FAITH FOR THE JOURNEY

Loving God,

We thank You for the life, leadership, and gentle heart of Pope Francis. Through his words and actions, he showed us the face of Your mercy, inviting the world to walk humbly, love tenderly and serve generously.

As we mourn his passing, we give thanks for his deep faith, his care for the poor and the Earth, and his unwavering call to peace Welcome him now into the joy of Your eternal presence, where there is no more suffering or pain, only light and love

Be with our Church in this time of sorrow and transition Guide our hearts with hope, fill us with peace, and help us to carry forward his message of compassion, justice and love We ask this through Christ our Lord Amen

Our Year 6 students had an unforgettable adventure at camp, filled with exciting challenges and team-building fun. From ziplining, abseiling, and raft building to kite making and flying, treasure hunts, and bike riding, there was never a dull moment! They also enjoyed exploring nature, playing beach games, trying their hand at fishing, and making memories to last a lifetime

Our Year 6 students not only embraced every adventure at camp but also showed outstanding behaviour and leadership throughout the week. They represented St Michael’s with pride, kindness and a wonderful sense of teamwork. A heartfelt thank you to Mrs Mroczek, Mrs Christian, Mr Sheridan and Mrs Borg for their care, support and dedication in making this a truly memorable experience for all

PRE-KINDY COLOUR RUN

Our Pre-Kindy students had a blast during their very own Colour Run held right here on the school grounds! They didn’t want to miss out on the fun that the ‘big kids’ had and embraced every colourful moment with big smiles and lots of giggles. It was a joyful celebration of movement, laughter and fun for our littlest learners

P&F COLOUR RUN - BEFORE!

Before the Colour Run began, there was a buzz of excitement and energy as our students eagerly gathered in their crisp white shirts, ready for the fun to begin. Their eyes lit up with anticipation as they talked about the colours and cheered each other on. It was clear from the very start that this would be a day to remember!

P&F COLOUR RUN - AFTER!

The Colour Run for students in Kindy to Year 6 was an explosion of fun, colour and excitement, marking the firstever event of its kind at St Michael’s!
