COLLEGE CAPTAINS

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Lead the student community and represent the College at both formal and informal events.

KEY CONTACTS

The College Captains report to the:

• Principal

• Deputy Principal

• Head of Wellbeing (R-12)

• Director of Student Engagement (7-12)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Representing the College at public events.

• Communicating student ideas and concerns to senior staff.

• Acting as College representatives at community functions.

• Helping organise and manage special events.

• Writing and delivering speeches.

• Supporting Student Ambassador meetings.

• Writing an annual Yearbook report.

• Assisting with enrolment tours and open day events.

HOUSE CAPTAINS

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Inspire House spirit and support student participation in House events.

KEY CONTACTS

The House Captains report to the:

• Head of Wellbeing (R-12)

• Director of Student Wellbeing (R-6)

• Director of Student Engagement (7-12)

• Sports Coordinators

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assisting with House and sporting events.

• Encouraging participation across year levels.

• Suggesting new House activities.

• Supporting event setup and smooth running.

SUSTAINABILITY CAPTAINS

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Promote environmental responsibility and lead initiatives that care for God’s creation.

• Director of Student Wellbeing (R-6)

• Director of Student Engagement (7-12)

• R-6 Design Thinking Teacher

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Leading recycling and waste reduction initiatives.

• Supporting College gardens and green projects.

• Promoting awareness campaigns.

• Encouraging student involvement in sustainability projects.

WELLBEING CAPTAINS

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Support emotional, social, and physical wellbeing by promoting positive relationships, kindness, and healthy choices.

The Wellbeing Captains report to the:

• Head of Wellbeing (R-12)

• Director of Student Wellbeing (R-6)

• Director of Student Engagement (7-12)

• College Counsellor

• Year Level Leaders

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Leading wellbeing awareness events (e.g., RUOK? Day).

• Promoting kindness, inclusion, and peer support.

• Supporting anti-bullying initiatives.

• Collaborating with staff on wellbeing campaigns.

SERVICE CAPTAINS

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Lead initiatives demonstrating compassion and generosity, encouraging service within the College and wider community.

• Directors of Student Engagement and Wellbeing

• Year Level Leaders

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Leading fundraising and service projects.

• Encouraging participation in service opportunities.

• Coordinating student volunteers.

• Promoting gratitude and service culture.

ARTS CAPTAINS

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Champion creativity and artistic expression in Music, Drama, Visual Arts, and cultural events.

• Learning Leader - Arts, Music Coordinator

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assisting with arts events organisation and promotion.

• Encouraging creative talent showcase.

• Supporting rehearsals, exhibitions, or performances.

• Advocating for the role of the arts in school culture.

R-6 CAPTAINS

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Represent the voice of younger students, encouraging participation and fostering school pride.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assisting with R–6 assemblies and events.

• Welcoming new students and families.

• Promoting kindness and participation.

• Supporting College-wide events with senior leaders.

STUDENT AMBASSADORS

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Represent the College in various settings, providing input on student experiences.

• College Captains and Leadership Team

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assisting with College tours and open days.

• Gathering and sharing student perspectives.

• Supporting new initiatives and events.

• Acting as positive role models.
