Executive Principal Report

I am delighted to contribute to the inaugural Philanthropy Report for the St Margaret’s College Foundation. This report is a celebration of the generosity of our community and an opportunity to share how grateful we are for all that has been achieved over the past twelve months. Amongst all the uncertainty of a post-Covid era, it is wonderful to be able to recognise the contributions of our community in this report. So many people have given time, expertise and encouragement as The Foundation progresses its vision and mission to create a legacy for the future. The Foundation’s strategy is about encouraging a culture and tradition of generosity and the goal is to create a substantial Endowment Fund that will, over time, generate distributable income that can be used for the advancement of SMC.

Philanthropic income allows us to go the extra mile on behalf of our girls, to embrace new ideas, widen access and send our girls out into the world with gracious character, the courage to embrace change, the confidence to lead and the desire to continue learning.

Whilst there are many incredible stories of those who have supported our school, I would like to make special mention of the Leavers of 2022 who you will read about in the following pages. Their commitment to our values and their focus on service and wellbeing are a true reflection of what remains a hallmark of our College, culture and community. Thank you for your impact and your legacy.

To all of those in our community, I very much appreciate your continued support of St Margaret’s College.
