About The Foundation

The St Margaret’s College Foundation was established in 2009 to generate and steward gifts and donations from the College community.

By encouraging a culture and tradition of generosity, we are committed to supporting SMC to realise its vision - to create empathetic, confident and connected global citizens, who strive to make a positive difference.

The goal is to create a substantial Endowment Fund that, over time, will generate distributable income that can be used for the continued advancement of SMC. The Foundation relies on the ongoing generosity of its community, both past and present, including parents, Old Girls and business partners.

The Foundation currently funds a range of initiatives which enable SMC students to realise their potential in a supportive and well-resourced environment.

This includes:

• offering scholarships for academic excellence and support into an SMC education

• investing in programmes to support the wellbeing of the College community

• promoting continued excellence in academia, sport and the arts

• assisting students and their families through times of financial hardships

• funding the enhancement and development of the College’s technology and its campus.

With your help, The Foundation can continue to create a legacy for the future, changing the lives of remarkable young women by ensuring that the College will always be here to empower them.
