VEGAN VEGETARIAN LUNCH SUNDAY, MAY 29 • 11AM • TENT Want an alternative to the 500 Race? Creation Care Ministry invites you to a yummy vegan/vegetarian lunch provided by Chef Joseph. Global food production accounts for more than a third of all greenhouse gas emissions, with meat and dairy responsible for twice as much planet-heating carbon pollution as plant-based foods. VBS JUNE 6-10 • ALL-DAY (9AM-4:30PM) & HALF-DAY (9AM-12PM) OPTIONS AVAILABLE This year VBS is all about changing the world! We think it’s possible for kids, volunteers, and families to create a ripple effect that can impact the world around them in ways they will never forget. God put you onto this planet to do the same thing—to make waves! Join us for a week-long adventure and discover the ways God created you to change the world! The morning will include worship, games, small group time, crafts, snacks, and more! The afternoon will also include lunch, games, service projects, music, art, and lots more! ELDERBERRY PICNIC (65+) JUNE 9 • 6PM • TENT If you’re 65 or older join us for the next Elderberries event on June 9 under the tent in the St. Luke’s parking lot from 6-7:30PM. Dinner will be served by Chef, and it will be the first “picnic” of the season! The cost will be $5.00. Registration will be available online at stlukesumc.com/events.

PRIDE PARADE & PRIDE FESTIVAL SATURDAY, JUNE 11 PARADE BEGINS AT 11AM & FESTIVAL RUNS 11AM-6PM | DOWNTOWN Indy Pride Parade and Festival is back in person in 2022! Support our LGBTQ+ community by walking with the St. Luke’s group in the parade (we will provide you

with the exact meeting location and the other details closer to the date). During and after the parade, we will have a booth set up for people to come learn more about St. Luke’s and share that we are an open, affirming, and inclusive church!

SPECIAL NEEDS EVENT SUNDAY, JUNE 12 • 12-6PM • MURPHY AQUATIC PARK IN AVON Those involved in the Special Needs Ministry, along with their family and friends, are invited for a fun afternoon together at the new aquatic park in Avon. The new park boasts features of inclusion within its aquatic area, playground, and trails. We have reserved a cabana for our meet-up location. There is a charge for park admission. FOSTER CARE AND ADOPTION MEET-UP SATURDAY, JUNE 25 • 9AM Come to connect with other foster and adoptive families and caregivers. This gathering is designed for foster and adoptive parents, kinship providers...really all those who care for orphaned and vulnerable children. It is a time to fellowship, to share experiences, and to learn from one another. This is not a foster/adoptive recruiting event, rather, it is all about supporting people on their post-placement journey. Discussions have included or may include transracial adoption, attachment issues, navigating relationships with birth parents and families, the effect of trauma, among others. A light breakfast will be served, and childcare is available if you register in advance. Register at stlukesumc.com/events.

MIDDLE SCHOOL MAYHEM JUNE 27-JULY 1 Students who will be in 5th-8th grade for the 2022-23 school year are invited to our FAVORITE event of the year - Middle School Mayhem! This week-long day camp gives middle schoolers a chance to form new friendships as they have discussions and competitions with their “crew” of other students and a few leaders, serve alongside their peers, learn more about faith in worship designed specifically for them, and (of course) play all kinds of insane games. This year’s theme is Mt. Mayhem!

We will explore Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount and the “Be-Attitudes” Jesus taught us. Middle School Mayhem is always one of the best youth events of the year, and it can’t happen without volunteers! There are a variety of ways to get involved. We need people, lead crews, run game times, decorate the building, and more. To learn more and register, go to stlukesumc.com/students.

EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAM REGISTRATION NOW OPEN St. Luke’s Early Childhood Program (ECP) is a weekday, play-based program that creates opportunities through play, promoting the development of language, imagination, self-expression, problem-solving, and emotional growth. We are in session from 9AM-1PM Monday through Friday, September through May. Classes fill up quickly.
