Finish strong

As the year draws to a close, there's still time to make a meaningful impact. Your gift to St. Luke's operations budget is the engine that powers every ministry we offer. From early morning gatherings to late-night programs, St. Luke's serves as a true community hub. If you haven't yet had a chance to give this year, if you're looking to fulfill your pledge, or if you simply want to make a year-end gift that changes lives, now is the moment. Your generosity makes it all possible. Whether $50, $500 or $5,000, your contribution will make a difference at St. Luke's.
KIDS
VBS SCHOLARSHIP FUND
We want VBS to be accessible to EVERY child, no matter what. Because of your financial generosity in the past, we’ve been able to grant 100% of the scholarships requested, allowing every child to KNOW they are loved by God’s family and have a place to belong. Help us continue this incredible offer to families by giving to our VBS scholarship fund. When you donate $100, it will cover the cost for a kid, for the week. (based on last years numbers)
YOUTH
LEADERSHIP TRIP
This end of year, consider giving to a new spiritual milestone experience for Youth beginning the summer 2026--the "Upperclassmen Leadership Trip." We are taking a group of student leaders to Dublin, Ireland to the UMC's Global Conference for Youth and Young adults, aimed at developing the leadership of the next generation of United Methodists. This trip will be the students who have spent time pouring their leadership into St. Luke's, and we want to pour back into them in a big away. Consider helping our students who need financial assistance make this trip possible in 2026 and for years to come! Help offset the anticipated trip cost of $3500 per student and make this trip possible this year and the years to come.

Outreach
FREEDOM SCHOOL
We are in full-swing preparation for our FIFTH summer of Freedom School!
As a CDF Freedom School site, St. Luke's provides this 6-week summer literacy and cultural enrichment program for 80 local scholars from K-8th grade. Each summer, 90+% of our scholars have maintained or increased their reading levels, and 80+% reported improvement in various social and emotional skills! Freedom School is funded by the generous support of St. Luke's congregation, and this high-quality program is offered at no cost to community families. You can financially support Freedom School this year in one of the following ways, but gifts of any amount are welcome:
• Sponsor a scholar: $60 pays for one day, $300 for one week, or $1800 for the 6-week program for one scholar.
• Sponsor a Servant Leader Intern: $5250 pays for one young adult intern to invest in the next generation for the summer.
• Sponsor a field trip: $2500 entirely pays for one field trip, including transportation and activity fees.
Midtown
As the Midtown Campus continues to grow, we will be adding an additional worship service launching February 1, 2026! Additional worship times mean additional opportunities for volunteers to serve in our tech booth and an upgraded audio console will not only enhance the way our worship sounds, but it will also enhance the volunteer experience on Sunday mornings. The cost for the upgraded console is $5,000.
North indy trustees
PLATFORM FOR NATIVITY
At North Indy this year, we have taken steps to make our iconic Nativity that sits at the southeast corner of our building a more stable, permanent structure. For years, volunteers and staff have struggled to secure the different pieces on uneven ground. This year we had the opportunity to have a concrete slab poured, while construction crews were on-site for Making Room. We capitalized on the existing projects, to get this done for a reduced, cost of $4000, while extending the life of our existing Nativity and ensuring that it's placement will continue to welcome people to St. Luke's and spread the Christmas spirit to those who are passing us on 86th Street. Your contribution will help offset this unplanned upgrade.
Pastoral offering
LOTT'S CREEK RECOVERY
Lott's Creek Community School is a former homestead school that serves the impoverished community of Knott County, Kentucky and was at one time, served through the efforts of St. Luke's missions. This community experienced significant flood damage last year and is still recovering.
BISHOP'S OFFERING
CHILDREN MATTER MOST
Money raised is distributed to our camping ministries, three Indiana United Methodist-related children and youth homes, national and global Advance projects, and Indiana outreach projects. Outreach projects are selected through a grant application process.
Making room
BUILDING CAMPAIGN
The Making Room campaign continues to transform our campus, creating dedicated spaces that help support the thriving ministries at St. Luke's. We have completed Phase 1 of the campaign and are currently in the process of updating the interior of the North Indy Campus and building our Educational Addition. If you would like to learn more about our Making Room campaign, contact Nancy Lange at nancy.lange@stlukesumc.com.
