“When you lose someone you love, You gain an angel you know.”

The St. Philip’s family extends its deep sympathies and prayers of comfort to the families of Robert Eagle, Jon Mosle, Jr., Alice Pinkard, Camille Powell, Crystal Rose, and Edward “Rusty” Rose. We are honored to have known each of them and been blessed by their presence and presents on earth.

Robert Eagle (1928 – 2016)

Mr. Eagle was the first Chairman of National Honda Dealer Council and owner of thirteen dealerships in Dallas and Houston. He quietly funded dozens of college educations, was an active community and civic volunteer and member of the Church of the Incarnation.

Jon Mosle, Jr. (1929 – 2015)

Jon was a former St. Philip’s trustee and longtime friend of the ministry. Deemed a “businessman of the highest integrity”, he was a successful broker and banker. Mr. Mosle was also a member, vestryman and warden of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church.

Camille Powell (1980 – 2015)

Camille was a devoted parent to a St. Philip’s student. A loving wife, mother, and Reading/TAG teacher at Celestino Mauricio Soto, Jr. Elementary School in DISD, her faith shaped every aspect of her short but blessed life.

IN MEMORIAM

Mother Alice Pinkard (1926 – 2016)

Mother Pinkard, the grandparent of one of St. Philip’s alumni, lived in South Dallas for over 70 years. She was a faithful worker in her church and within the community.

Crystal Rose (1979 – 2016)

Gone too soon, Crystal was an esteemed alumnae of St. Philip’s School. She earned a degree in Biology from Dillard University in 2002 and a Masters of Education a few years later. She had a passion for teaching and taught at St. Philip’s, Uplift Hampton Preparatory and most recently at Young Women’s Leadership Academy in Grand Prairie. Crystal was greatly involved in the community and was president of the local chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is survived by her 11 year old daughter.

Edward “Rusty” Rose (1941 – 2016)

Rusty and his wife of 51 years, Deedie, are loyal friends of St. Philip’s. He was President and owner of Cardinal Investment Company and a dedicated philanthropist. Mr. Rose was also a naturalist, champion tennis player, gracious mentor and member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas.
