RESIDENT OVERS PEST AND DINGOES CEO DOUG RADLOFF DRINKING HIS SORROWS AWAY AFTER NEWCASTLE LOST THE CARABAO CUP FINAL ON MONDAY MORNING

Four weeks of Springfield Cup action will reach its crescendo on Friday, with the club still in the hunt to claim the over-35 and over-45 crowns.

In the over-35s, Springfield Blue (division 2) and Springfield Silver (division 3) will meet in the grand final at 6.30pm on Field 1A after cruising through their groups with three wins from as many games. Runners up in Group A with two wins and a loss, Springfield Gold (division 5) will face second-placed Group B side Toowong at 6.30pm on Field 2A.
With the over-35 title destined to stay at The Summit, Springfield Gold (division 1) can make it double delight when they tackle Toowong in the over-45 decider at 6.30pm on Field 1B. Both teams won three from three in the preliminary rounds to top their groups.
Fourth in Group A, Springfield Silver (division 3) face Blackstone at 8.30pm on Field 1A, while Springfield Blue (division 2) will meet Moggill at the same time in on Field 2A after finishing fourth in Group B.
Coming off a 4-3 win over QCSA division 1 over-40s champions St Catherine’s, Springfield’s division 6 over-35s will continue their pre-season with a trip to Ormeau on Friday night. Division 7 will also make the trip down the M1 hoping to put last week’s loss to the St Catherine’s over-30 division 1 side behind them.
