“What the arts can do for the confidence of children is unbelievable. To actually bring arts into my classroom is an unsurpassed opportunity to strengthen relationships, teach team building, and watch kids soar!” ~ Susan T., South Vienna

Since 1975, The Springfield Arts Council’s Arts in the Classroom program has made professional artists and performances available to children in Springfield and Clark County schools. We appreciate your decision to bring

professional performing arts into your school.

When funding your Arts in the Classroom performance, in addition to your school’s building activity fund, you may wish to contact your PTO, Booster Club, or Corporate Partner to assist. Program fees account for approximately 75% of the actual cost of each program. The remaining 25% of the fee is subsidized by grants and donations to the Springfield Arts Council from individuals, businesses, and foundations.

Your principal’s signature on the Arts in the Classroom Order Form (on page 11 of this booklet) is your school’s financial commitment to the Springfield Arts Council to schedule requested programs.

For questions about Arts in the Classroom programs, call 937-324-2712 ext 3 or email krissy@springfieldartscouncil.org Note: Additional programs may be available throughout the school year. Call or email for information.

• Programs are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Some programs may not be available if sufficient orders are not received.

• Programs and artists are subject to change without notice.

The Ohio Arts Council helps fund the Arts in the Classroom program with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans.
