TINA KHANIJOU JEWELRYDESIGNER& MODEL 04 @ t i n a _ k h a n i j o u

Being of Indian origin but born and raised in Thailand, I’m a proud ThaiIndian who still maintain her ethnic roots and hold her culture closely, while also absorbing and blending in with the Thai culture. I can proudly say I have the best of both worlds.

Besides being a designer for my own jewelry brand ‘Navara Jewelry’ @navara jewelry, I have also recently stepped into the glamour world of modeling It’s a new found passion and challenge for me that I’m keen on as it constantly makes me want to rediscover and reinvent myself It also complements my current jewelry line in many ways

My journey into the modeling industry wasn’t a straight forward one Since young, I have always been told that I’m very photogenic, and have a flair and face for the cameras Back then, my features were right for some jobs but fairer skin tone was always preferred in Thailand My dusky skin tone wasn’t the most ideal for their beauty standards at that time Although there have been several opportunities in the past, I took a backseat and did not actively pursue them The industry has definitely evolved since then and so have I. For me, this change didn’t happen overnight and it has been a journey of learning and re learning, letting go of beliefs and limitations that were so deeply planted by my surroundings and circumstances I chose to grow as a person first and let go of all that held me back I went on to explore many other career paths and built on my abilities

Page 5Spot'less Fashion Magazine| November 2022 | Issue 59 @spotlessfashionmagazine

Before modeling, my zest for life, dedication, creativity and talents took me to explore several career paths. I became a writer for Thailand based English newspapers and magazines and also worked to write for hi brands for The Mall Group. I then moved on to become a wedding planner for Indian weddings in Thailand for a while but wedding business meant traveling a lot but with family, I wasn’t ready for that at that time. But I never stopped working, my creative talents got me starting my own creative art studio @creativeclub bkk, where I designed a lot of fun art workshop activities. Many were originally created by me. I also offered wedding trousseau packing services, creating props and many personalized items. This gained my reputation as ‘a creative’ person.

Although each field was different, they all required creativity, the ability to envision designs, a crafty hand to create and an eye for details. All the experiences have helped build me as a person. It all added up together as I started my jewelry line in 2018 and more recently, modeling.

Unlike in my teenage years, I now approach modeling or any opportunity to face the camera with a vibrant energy, a new found confidence that has grown from knowing what I am capable of I love to dress up but I don’t always go after every fashion trend and prefer to flair my own personal style I can carry many different looks, mix and match and go for what complements my body and personality most. I like to experiment and being a model allows me to do that even more.

Although looking good is a major part of this business, it is not merely just posing in beautiful clothes or looking pretty. Beyond the glamourous front, there are many challenges. There is an intense amount of work and preparation that needs to be done. This requires prepping and priming the models, lots of planning and executing from the whole crew. Each fashion show or shoot takes a whole dedicated team of camera/production crew, make up/hair stylist team and the backstage crew to put it all together. I am always grateful to be part of any given opportunity and take guidance and tips from the many experienced personnel that I meet. Each job brings along a new set of people, new challenges, experiences and network. We all co exist in this industry and help each other grow.

On the other hand, I also constantly remind myself to keep a very steady head to deal with pressure and unexpected situations that are inevitable in this field. Being in the industry puts me on a platform where criticisms and judgment are part of the game and learning how to take all that with an open heart and a positive mind can be quite a challenge sometimes. Along with a steady head, keeping our body fit is just as important when you are in this business. Being in front of the camera gives me major fitness goals to work on my body even more. I eat healthier, and besides working out, I also enjoy good music and dancing too. It keeps the soul young and revived!

Page 6Spot'less Fashion Magazine| November 2022 | Issue 59 @spotlessfashionmagazine

As a fashion model, I have been blessed to work with several highly talented fashion designers here in Bangkok including Sam Sethi, an international designer with his timeless couture Suwannee By Sam (@suwanneebysam). Walking the ramp to showcase his stunning outfits has been an honor. His collection and workmanship are phenomenal!

Another atelier which I have been proud to work with is June Fifth by Bonny (@bonnysjunefifthofficial). She houses a very elegant and high class collection of Indian couture here in Bangkok.

Design By Simmi (@designbysimmi), is yet another brand who I have been excited to have worked with to present her chic, trendy and modern clothing line.

All are based in Bangkok. It has been an amazing experience and stepping stone to work with each of them and represent their brands of ethnic and contemporary couture.

Page 7Spot'less Fashion Magazine| November 2022 | Issue 59 @spotlessfashionmagazine

Moreover, my jewelry line and modeling have worked hand in hand for me, with each complementing the other in several projects. My ability to visualize designs, my craftsmanship as a jeweler and the ability to act and portray that on screen has also recently landed me a global TVC for FedEx. The short film features me and my jewelry as well. In it, I play one of the lead roles, a jeweler who passionately creates my jewelry pieces and trusts FedEx to deliver my passion to customers across the world. It’s a globally aired commercial advertisement I’m proud to be a part of, and has been released in many languages around the world.

It’s true that we never know where life can take us and what we are capable of doing until we do it! It all begins with believing in yourself saying ‘YES’ to opportunities that come your way. It takes hard work, being prepared and making the best when the opportunity strikes.

My heart is set to look forward, as I feel energized and passionate about what I do. I am looking ahead at many more exciting projects brimming on the horizon while also keeping my head steady to face any challenges and grow further as a jewelry designer and as a model. I am grateful to God and my family for their immense love and support every step of the way, without which, I would not have come this far.

WHY A MODEL NEEDS A PROFESSIONAL PORTFOLIO ?

A portfolio is the most important investment in model's future. A good portfolio can promote you fantastically; it can scream out personality, show your versatility and simply ‘sell’ you to any client

Most of commercial agencies will require a portfolio from new model Commercial market covers a wide range of products, so the more looks you can present the better for you. Building up your portfolio is beneficial not only for yourself and your ambitions but it will enhance the way an agency will look at how versatile and committed you are. Models who can only master one pose and facial expression will not get themselves anywhere in the competitive modelling industry. Agencies need to see your flexibility, and above all your passion. It will also give you a boost of confidence, the feeling of professionalism and awareness of what you are able to do on the set

The quality and style of your portfolio depends on the people you choose to work with. Great minds create amazing results! It is the passion and experience of our team that will complement your performance in creating fabulous model book We will advise you of the most appropriate type of modelling for you and carry out the make up, styling and photography accordingly. When it comes to portfolio, the quantity does not mean quality. It is better to have 15 striking images of yourself than 100 average ones They should include both head shots, half and full body shots. The process of production of images should always be followed by the post production A good professional photograph demonstrates your attitude and skill and may make an agency or a client look at you for few crucial seconds longer, give you that small but important advantage over competition So, contact us @ 9650192813 for a great Professional Portfolio of your choice and have a great future ahead.

KHAOS MODEL 32 @ i n k h a o s

K H A O S

Sometimes people call me in one way, sometimes in another way but just call me by my artist name Khaos.

"But why khaos?" Well simply because I have spent most of my life with the kaos inside, with the confusion about what I wanted to do in my life I am an Italian model and showgirl but before I was a simple girl from a small remote village, a girl who loved those photos of beautiful women on magazines and on social networks

When I looked at those photos I just thought about how much I wanted to be as beautiful as them, for me those women, those photos were something magical, but I had no self esteem, I didn't believe in myselfs and I wouldn't have known where to start

Now I am touring Italy with my acrobatic shows, I shoot with the best photographers and I always manage to overcome myself, and to reach ever higher goals

My artistic growth started working in clubs, performing in clubs, I had always to be pretty and flawless and on stage I couldn't go wrong, because I wanted to be the best and therefore always give my best because I was always surrounded by people and I couldn't afford to make mistakes

These people, this audience always told me that I was beautiful and who appreciates me and this led me to believe more in myself and to start posing for photographers, until I got better and better every time it wasn't easy, and I still have a long way to go because I want more

Hi, my name is Upasana Rawat from New Delhi I am 25 curretnly a corporate employee, a dance trainer and the RU for Miss Cosmos Queen 2022

From being the only dusky in a pahadi family to being 51 From never being able to fit in the criteria to standing here tall, I have fought my “not up to the mark” struggles alone as my mom said you are beautiful the way you are and you should never forget who you are coz that is the best kind of beautiful you could be and thats exactly what i would want to say out loud coz Moms are never wrong and you are one of a kind that you should be proud of so be the hero of your story coz others have their own stories to tell

Here i am today after constant efforts and towards my dream of being recognised as a beauty queen with who and how I Am It took me alsmost 6 years to get here, i have always been waiting for my time to shine and always waited for a change in beauty norms the criteria somewhere around the world for me to atleast begin but no luck

Here i am today after constant efforts and towards my dream of being recognised as a beauty queen with who and how I Am It took me alsmost 6 years to get here, i have always been waiting for my time to shine and always waited for a change in beauty norms the criteria somewhere around the world for me to atleast begin but no luck Mom says Life is Full of surprises only if you are grateful for the surprises you have already got Miss Cosmos Queen came to me as one of those surprises i was waiting since long I Always beleived that beauty is not just the looks but the internal strength to spread happiness and peace in the world, to help people find the beauty in them and feel beautiful coz we all are beautiful in our own ways, the best ways.

Struggles make your life extraordinary coz your struggle are rare and unique to you, says my mom

Becoming India’s first beauty pageant winner with 5’1” and representing the Capital City, New Delhi was nothing less than being born again wity a new identity but the same me. I remember wheb too 24 were announced out of 3000 girls, I was on cloud 9 and i already started preparing my winning speech coz there, right there was my first win. Moving on to top 12, i see all these beautiful ladies, beautifully curated and tall, I was the shortest but my dreams had a long way. The best realisation during my first and only pageant journey was no matter how eager and badly every girl there wanted to win but the love, the respect, the warmth they had gor each other was nothing that i imagined I was treated like a cute little princess and not even once was i taunted or looked up on as “not up to the mark” Till now each one of them treats me like a princess and they were so happy to see me win They cheered and are spreading the word making me a star already I am blessed, thrilled and overwhelmed with the kind of response i have got from people, a lot of them personally texted me Explaining their struggles and God i am not alone, their are thousands who are waiting for that one opportunity to shine and I would do the best of my potential to provide opportunity and recognition to one and all The world where every woman or man in that case could feel beautiful is the world i desire The world that is Beautiful beyond Beauty Now that it has started lets expand and take it to overseas and celebrate woman, the internal beauty as much as we celebrate the external beauty

If I could share some advice and touch on simple but valuable lesson I've learned in the few months. I've spent my time really putting in the hardwork and passion into my work and my life personally. Although, I always been focused on my goals, the difference now is more than ever I enjoy doing it I put the work in to improve my health and grow mentally and shine physically One has to take the time and use that opportunity to look inward and care for oneself and you soon find you've grown into an even better version of you I just wanna share that I am more than grateful to have what I have today and just wanted to share positive encouragement for those who may have neglected themselves being busy with life and work

We gotta take care of ourselves it's the only person we can depend on for our happiness and functional ability to handle life's stresses

THAMKE MRS.INDIAPRIDEOFNATION2021 SNEHAL 49 @ d r . s n e h a l t h a m k e

My name is Dr Snehal Thamke and I am a psychiatrist by profession and classical dancer & model by passion. I come from a small place named Chandrapur in Maharashtra. I Went to Nagpur and Rajasthan for MBBS and MD in Psychiatry to finally settle down in city of dreams, Mumbai, where I stay with my husband and in laws now.

I always dreamt of becoming a model but coming from a middle class family I never really figured the way to achieve my dreams in the field of Modelling and I continued to fulfill my parents’ wishes as a Doctor. But thanks to Mrs Barkha Nangia Ma’am and her organisation Glamour Gurgaon that Mrs India Pride of Nation 2021 happened to me. It was with this pageant I got inspired and motivated to follow my passion of Modelling and started doing portfolios and professional shoots Finally I bagged the title of Mrs India pride of Nation 2021 and got the wings to fly high

Truly speaking there was too much in my platter Early morning exercises, going to hospital from 9 5, running my clinic in the evening , working online for therapy sessions for the NGOs I am associated with and at the end of the day training myself for the pageant

From walking in 6 inches heels to taking care of my family at the same time I used to loose the track in time and I used to get stressed But my family stood by me I am lucky to have them in my life

I am a person who likes to be in present and not give so much importance to the future However I wish to walk the ramp for big brands and work under big banners in the fashion industry

I believe there’s is nothing like a small achievement or a big one All of them have equal weightage, equal respect, equal dignity All you need to do is give your best and make your people proud

DHRISNI

MODEL 53 @ d h r i s n i

This is Dhrisni and am a 19 year old freelance model and artist for about a year I started freelance modelling last year in my hometown back in assam and have shifted to mumbai two months back Since a very young age I’ve always been passionate about styling, posing, acting and doing creative things My parents weren’t very supportive at the beginning as I was a good student in terms of academics I started my YouTube channel properly in 11th grade when I was 16 to speak up, and show the world I can make them laugh I started growing on instagram after I did shoots consistently and made reels and today I am known more of an influencer than a youtuber I still go for a variety of shoots both for instagram content and for brands. I even go for acting classes and acted in two unreleased music videos which will be released in the last week of November. I am at the moment doing a fashion and lifestyle management course in Pearl Academy and it is becoming tough for me to manage my passion and college so maybe I’ll be dropping out soon and just do distance learning for a backup degree. My parents were worried if things don’t work out so because of that a degree is important to me.

I am very passionate about writing as well as I feel writing is the only way I can express myself truly, I wrote and self published a book at 16 called “Drunk In Jealousy” which is a fictional crime novel available on Amazon and Flipkart. Today I don’t get much time to write but whenever I do I write poetry and songs. I want to be a successful actor and a model someday and am working towards my goals. It is tough because of all the competition in the world today but I believe in myself and that I can do it if I really want to Life is like a roller coaster and we all have our battles and ladders both in the professional and personal space but all you could do is believe what you can do and that’s when you climb and climb to the highest peak The first time I felt I can do this was when I got casted for a music video from an Assamese production house, when I shifted to Mumbai I soon got in another music video from an artist I’ve been listening to for a long time It was my dream come true It is very tiring but I love it, I don’t mind how many retakes it takes, I just want it to be perfect and for me to look and act the best Today I go for numerous auditions and keep trying to get somewhere no matter how tough it is This industry can be very harsh especially for a North Eastern woman As I just turned 19 in October, I’ve realised I might be very young but it is okay to be young but not stupid You’ll be meeting loads of different people and you need to be in good terms with everybody to have proper contacts The journey can also be mentally draining but you have to realise if it wasn’t, everybody would have been successful Fashion is another form of expression to me, I love colouring my hair, experimenting with my appearance and dressing up in different costumes I love styling anything, even if you give me a trash bag, I’ll make sure to style it and make it look good on me I love art and everything about it Because of my knowledge and work in different fields of art, I like to call myself an artist than an influencer, actor, model, writer or anything Nowadays, I focus a lot more on being consistent on Instagram as that’s where am growing super fast at the moment and making a living My goal is to be financially completely independent and known for my talent I don’t want to live off my parents forever and I want to earn three times more than them! I thank each person from my audience who has supported me and shown love and appreciation I am grateful for all the friends I have that never judged me and put me down High school was a bit tough because girls in my school were jealous and tried hard to put down my reputation but as a person who believed in strength and passion, I made sure to pass every hurdle with a smile Freelancing can be tough especially when you don’t know anyone in a new city so am applying for agencies and soon things will work out for the best, my only advice to my fellow hustlers would be to keep hustling with a smile on your face and never give up!

Like always it was an eye opening experience to see artworks of ‘ABHISHEK GOSWAMI’ for our November edition It was a privilege to talk to him and get insights of him about his creations and thought process This time he shares some of his abstract captures with us to let them publish in our Magazine His works leads an observer to explore new way of seeing and feel things The way he captures regular things in outstandingly creative way is very expressive & astonishing and anyone can end up getting amazed with the different approach he used to see things and express visually This time he captured cityscapes as subject but anyone can feel that the way he represented it was far more different than our regular expectations That’s why such bold vision makes him the way he is” THE VISION MASTER” The way he implied abstraction on the subject is outstanding and the outcomes are far more expressive, aesthetic & eye catchy like his all works He is like a gem in this visual art World Hope you will feel the same way

First question that comes into my mind is that: In what aspect you have described these beautiful captures as “bold captures”? While usually people think that bold captures will be like some model with less or no clothes!

Very important question. The idea of bold to me is something which is different than regular expectations/practices with in the given system. Be it any genre/subject/aspect of life Or Art. When we think seriously about the system we live in, we can observe that mostly definitions are set as per mass of the people of given system{state or particular region or globally} and those definitions could be derived from the school of thought being practiced in that system contemporarily. So when we act or practice or let say create some output different than that predefined aspect; it is a bold act / practice. Here the difference was to imply abstraction in pictures focusing on the theme/subject {here it is “cityscape”}, to express more than it could if represented in its real form

Page 58Spot'less Fashion Magazine| November 2022 | Issue 59 @spotlessfashionmagazine

Why you felt the need of implying abstraction on such a regular subject as mostly people expect detailed & informative, realistic representation of a city or part of a city in a cityscape?

When we want to express more & differently than the realistic approach of representation, we tend to practice implying abstraction in creating artworks You can feel the dreamy, misguiding and unstable essence in the given visuals weather it was a rigid “concrete jungle” i.e. cityscape. To make a viewer feel the psychological state of a citizen in an urban system Which could be as over ambitious as it can, with a pressure to succeed and loosing real pleasure of living life in the meantime. It could be tensed, suffocated, depressed with a sense of “nowhere to go” and being stuck in an endless game of survival with an unannounced necessary practice of showing off luxury, status and success.

What were the techniques you used to give such visual effects OR you used any editing tool too?

NO editing was done to give such visual effects actually The way we use the shutter speed, movement of camera while capturing the image can give such effects. Of course with other camera settings accordingly as per lights and desired outcomes I used longer exposure and a bit of camera movement to capture such pictures.

Page 59Spot'less Fashion Magazine| November 2022 | Issue 59 @spotlessfashionmagazine

It makes me wonder that all these pictures are of the same spot/subject and captured from same location at the same time {with in time span of 20 minutes}. So, how you could be able to create such different visual outcomes with different expressive qualities & aesthetic aspects?

Yes it was the same subject and all the pictures were captured from same location When you want to achieve ability to express differently, that is the time where art of abstraction with a vision to express comes into play and you can express a lot more out of a still visual outcome by representing it in an abstract form accordingly. There could be infinite possible ways to see things and representing those things When proper execution of capturing those things is implied; there could be as many different forms of outcomes as you want out of that very same thing/subject.
