I am a photographer For 9 years I have been looking at the world through the lens of my camera

Love for photography began in early childhood and at the age of 3, my dad bought me my first camera. Some time I was fond of modeling, now it gives me the fact that I know a lot of posing and it is easy for my clients to pose for me I graduated from the university with a degree in journalism and at the university, I did not miss a single lecture on photojournalism, where I was taught various techniques Why do I need a diaphragm, I found out there This is how photography accompanies me through life.

Today my works adorn the covers of magazines all over the world (USA, Canada, Australia, Europe). It all started from Australian magazine They wrote to me and offered to put my photo on the cover of their magazine After that, I started getting more and more offers from another famous magazines Today my photos can be seen in glossy magazines in Paris, Miami, Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, Milan and others.

I am very happy and proud of myself I love to make my models joy, because they know that, if working with me, their photos will definitely appear in glossy magazines. How It doesn't inspire or motivate

My works adorn shop windows in Ukraine I also work with many brands. I shoot lookbooks and advertising campaigns

I launched a social project "I'm not happy even if I smile." in the last year. This project is aimed at revealing the theme of violence in society, in the family. In my photos you can see the suffering of people who are victims of domestic violence. And it is not only women, but also men. This project has attracted a large number of people. It is very important to talk about this and maybe it will help someone a little.

I am not only a photographer, but also a photo shoot producer. This includes the entire organization. It all starts with finding an idea for a shoot. Looking for a solution on how to bring this idea to life. After that, the creation of the location. I also do model casting. Next, I gather a stylist and makeup artist and we get to work. This is quite painstaking work. After that, I myself conduct a photo session and retouch the photo. It is difficult to delegate because I think the phrase “if you want to do it well - Do it by yourself” is about me.

What inspires me?

Of course, I will answer peace and clear mind and lack of stress It is very important for me to feel comfortable To be honest I'm not one of those artists who needs to be stay hungry or have an unhappy love I don't need drama for inspiration In addition, everything beautiful should surround me Beautiful people, beautiful house, beautiful food in the restaurant and so on Then I can build and create

It all started when I was in London for my higher studies Took photography as a hobby to do something productive during my free hours from studies. I had Samsung Galaxy S3 and used to capture pics of London sight seeing and nature At the same time, I used to post all those pics on my Facebook profile. Gradually there were lots of likes on my posts and albums I decided to convert those albums into a Facebook page Some of my good friends back home saw my work and asked me to make their portfolios At amateur level, I used to click and edit using my smartphones At the end of year 2014, I bought Canon 70D and explored more using that I used to watch lots of tutorials on YouTube for lenses, cameras and to learn new editing skills. After few months, my university friends saw my talent and gave me an opportunity of covering a big event After seeing the pics from that event, they further gave me more events to cover Some of them also started hiring me for their personal events such baby showers, weddings etc. Eventually, I learned many things about photography I was offered to cover Battle of Bollywood dance competition held among universities of UK. I also got the opportunity to cover All India Bakchod Live in London

In 2018, I decided to explore more into fashion as it allowed me to explore more and more of creativity. I started approaching new faces across India While approaching new people, I observed many of them had fears or insecurities of how society will see them as Fear of being dark skinned, being over weight, short in height etc I helped them embrace themselves the way they were. It gave them a lot of confidence and they started getting work opportunities after sharing their portfolios

In the following years, I also tried my hands as cinematographer I did 2 songs as Director of Photography.

Boudoir, as an art form, is not so about seducing men, but about the subject, embracing womanhood Painters, have been capturing the female form for centuries As part of the academic curriculum, while learning fashion photography at CMYK, institute at Goa way back in 2010, we were introduced to various works of art. From what I can, recall, one painting has had an everlasting impression on my mind, it was a painting named “The Odalisque” by Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres, created in 1814 It shows the very nature of what boudoir photography has come to mean.

It captures the strength in a woman ’ s physical form And also the empowerment she creates with her emotional glance over her shoulder. In general, these paintings were done in ornate backgrounds focusing on implied nudes Boudoir might have changed how it is presented But it still maintains the same roots Artists understand that emotion is more important than expression. The expression, is in the physical attributes of the client’s face But the emotional side is the true essence of boudoir art photography

Posing a woman in a boudoir setting can become quite static and it is therefore, the emotional side, which would go on to define the work. Getting the emotions right, entirely depends on the trust of the model, which the photographer has managed to win in a relatively short span of time.

We in our magazine had the pleasure to work again with the "Vision Master" Abhishek Goswami for our issue for the month of December, 2022 It's a big privilege for us to work with Abhishek sir in our Spotless fashion magazine We get to see and learn so much from the Master himself When it comes to conceptual photography he is the best As by now we understand that he is a very talented artist who is not only a great visionary but a socialist, philanthropist & philosopher who believes in creating an artistic expression which helps us to understand our surroundings through his visual story telling techniques Like always he has a unique story "Bawara Saath" (as named by him); which displays a beautiful visual series expressing true companionship In Abhishek’s artworks (be it painting or photography) we learn philosophy of life Here he displays a deep understanding of The Art of living which guides us to understand ways to live in a progressive and joyful manner in this beautiful world

Anyone can feel that the story revolves around two divinely connected individuals in this visual series; why you termed it as "Bawara Saath"?

Its human tendency to ignore the very facts; facts regarding his/herself facts regarding own true identity, facts regarding our perceptions & reactions and last but not least the facts regarding the real reasons for such actions/reactions Since ever, we as human beings evolved with a tendency to claim everything as fake or crazy which is out of the box, beyond our understanding and abilities to practice Our body & mind is designed to adapt that comfort zone in an attempt for applying survival strategy in which we include those practices which helps us to be a part of the mob which is following a trend We are always excluding those practices which makes us to leave such comfort zone And whoever is different than the given mob that one is called as the “ crazy one ; no matter if that one is not the ignorant one and who does not apply given practices to remain in comfort zone filled with desires targeting the pleasure for given “continuously reshaping dust”

Here as you felt and described in your own words as “divinely connected” individuals; those two individuals are practicing the life and connection in such a way which could be claimed as “CRAZY’ or wasted etc I will describe such connection/companionship as “quantum entanglement”

As mostly people try to give a name to any kind of connection and as per them that name must be related to some sort of “relation”; while in mean time people totally ignore the essence of any relation which is based on the very materialistic approach actually And thus the same "relation” is just like a business contract with some sort of terms and conditions; so, it is really senseless to term any “relation” as unconditional People generally do question and evaluate the “relation” on the basis of what is in return or could be! And thus people tend to seek a motive of a person who is loving/caring others with no desire of getting anything in return as they could not take it When the fail to point out that “motive”, they are only left with no choice but claiming such lover/companion as the “CRAZY” one

While a real companion only practice life and take all actions to care please & nourish his/her loved one being a GIVER only No matter if anything is in return or not; as desires are not even second thoughts of such person

Like always I was very fortunate enough to witness this beautiful conceptual visual artworks series "Bawara Saath" He has displayed companionship/friendship in an absolute pure form I was able to observe and appreciate his work so closely; it feels like a blessing to get privilege of getting into his insight, school of thought for creating such wonderful work As we have seen Abhishek Goswami chooses subjects which are very close to his heart He is a great observer and he use to experience all the surroundings very closely which is showcased in his artworks He applies related technicalities as required to showcase the best output in all of his pictures He is a passionate artist who has in depth knowledge to make an artwork in such astonishingly outstanding manner It's always a great privilege to understand his creative process which is enlightening and filled with humanitarian approach Hope that you will feel the same after reading the following conversation with him

As we can see the variation in age, gender and other aspects in the represented characters of your captures; what was the thought for choosing the models?

I would like to appreciate your observation capacity first Yes the variation in characters was the very demand for this conceptual photo shoot to add sufficient elements for portraying the whole story

It is a complex expression which includes so many actions and contrasting school of thoughts/practices by different characters; so, the models had to be selected accordingly

The most interesting point is that all the characters in this story are fully grown up adults but as you can see one of the models is a kid And the real reason for choosing that kid model was to portray a character with pure soul with a childishly strategic mind set Of course the character is an adult but to portray the features I decided to imply a kid model to represent it (childish mind set) visually in the stills symbolically

The protagonist is always in care of this childish companion of himself and love her the most (even more than himself) but the child” is always unable to understand the reality! One point to concern about here is that by saying “childish”, I am indicating the materialistic approach for setting goals in life and course of actions accordingly

Other characters are portraying various tendencies regarding the theme and storyline to make it a whole depiction of the philosophy And these tendencies are also very crucial to create the balance in the system Like just filling up the blanks and keeping the “ game ” on The only difference is that Time is absolute for Companions; while with respective other tendencies time is relative The protagonist is the “watcher” of these tendencies He is well calm & composed while inviting/accepting the atrocities of the game but only the childish one is reacting towards those atrocities; but He remained STONED!

What are the technical aspects involved in executing your visualization for such expressive and complex final outcomes?

Lots of aesthetics and technical aspects are involved in creating such complex visual outcomes which have to be outstandingly expressive and informative Many factors have to be concerned like, the basic minimum need of elements to represent the whole story in final few stills, required compositions applying props giving proper expressions, actions & postures to different characters applying proper depth of field to make the subject stand out in this complex picture filled with lots of informative elements and proper lighting accordingly All of this have to be done in a manner so that the outcomes could be aesthetic too finally

As, after all photography is a visual art which should create some visual entertainment and eye catchy outcomes

Furthermore executing the plan was a complex and hectic process Each model had to be precisely accurate in position and postures, angles of camera & perspective have to be applied via using right focal length and distance from the targeted composed subjects (models) Everyone have to perform perfectly at the same time when it is being captured The task was that the mud splash had to be thrown precisely at a certain path in certain shape, which is very random when practically applied; so one of these shots took 44 trials in time span of 150 minutes to get the desired picture!

As we can see the dramatic lights which makes these visual outcomes so expressive and storytelling; so, how you managed to execute as per the desired output?

Most interesting part of implementation in my execution process is lighting the whole composition in such a way, so that it could match the story I wanted to tell viewers through my still visual outcomes I used selective lighting, like spot lights, light cutters via barn doors hard lights with reflectors on for rim lights on primary and secondary subjects; rest of other elements were lit too from other light sources according to the requirement of the theme I used 5 different light sources very precisely and delicately to make it fully informative, aesthetic and eye catchy Lights were precisely placed and directed with precise angles to lit the important parts of the compositions; highlighting the actions, emotions & characters of the story

Hi this is Kashish Bali, I’m 21 and I was born and brought up in Chandigarh now settled in Mumbai and it’s been 3 years since I’ve been in Mumbai !

I still remember when i was a kid i was so fascinated towards fashion and film industry, I always loved to dress up and do makeup, i used to love getting pictures clicked and I always had a dream that i want to grow up and get settled in a city like mumbai, A city of dreams where anything and everything is possible! I still remember I wanted to become a surgeon and then I wanted to go in army and what not but as I grew I started having interest in fashion and events I was a big extrovert and a socialite since my high school days only! I used to love going out, talking to new people , socialising and what not and after completing my school i got admission in mumbai university my dream place where I always wanted to be! I took BMM ‘Mass medita and communication as my graduation course! Side by side I used to host events as well, I always had an interest in hospitality, events and hosting people, social events! And while hosting events I started with modeling as well! I worked with alot of brands, I never joined any agency I worked as a freelancer! Always supported by my mom dad they are my biggest strength they ve always supported me accepted me for who I am and what I am today is all because of them! During Covid I went back to Chandigarh for an year I started with social media influencing I started posting content making reels and in my free time I used to create content and that content was actually liked and loved by my followers, eventually and gradually i started gaining followers and brands started contacting me for brand collaborations and promotions I modelled for almost every jewellery brand in Chandigarh punjab , I modelled for designers based in Chandigarh and punjab and Mumbai

I even did 2 3 punjabi and hindi cover music videos! This was all during covid times 2020 2021! In college I did 2 3 ramp walks! Even for livon serum supermodel of the year! I even started with anchoring, my first anchoring gig was in Gwalior for 8000 people, I anchored for the musical Duo meet brothers, I now work as a model as an anchor and I’m a social media influencer as well! Fashion, fitness and travel influencing in my forte! I am a fitness freak as well gym is my second home and I’m a yogi as well I’m practising yoga since 2 years now started it during covid! My mom is a yogi and a fitness trainer so she used to teach me yoga everyday during the covid times since then yoga has become a lifestyle for me! I believe meditation, yoga, staying fit, positivity is a way of life ! It teaches you alot more about yourself! I am alot into spirituality as well, my day is incomplete with my prayers because I believe all that i have is given by him, Gratitude is my key, Shukr and sabr is my motivation and do good be good is my motto! Today what I have I may not have it tomorrow and what ill have tomorrow I don’t have an idea about it today, so be grateful for what you have today if you ’ re grateful for what you have today the universe will give more to you tomorrow! So that’s me, my journey has just begun there’s so much more to come for me! I’m grateful for what I’ve achieved till date and i’ll be forever grateful for what I’ll get in Future!
