What is our connection to eduKenya?
Adam Gould, co-founder of eduKenya, and wife Njeri have attended Southpointe since 2016 They live in Nolensville with their children Amani (9) and Tele (6). After graduating from college, Adam interned for a year in Nairobi, Kenya with Mavuno Church. While there, he felt God tugging at his heart to address the desperate situation of children in Nairobi’s sprawling slums He invited some Kenyan friends to join him, and they founded eduKenya together.
Every student eduKenya serves has their own unique story.
This is Paul Oduor's story. We first met Paul when he was a 4-year-old who roamed the walkways of Mathare unsupervised, sometimes digging in the trash for food. When Paul joined our Mawewa Pre-Primary School, he was malnourished and struggled to even stay throughout the school day. 13 years later, Paul graduated from Chelezo High School with a desire to become a Preschool Teacher Paul’s story came full circle when he undertook a teaching assistant internship at our Mawewa Pre-Primary after graduation. He is currently a teaching assistant in our Preschool while taking a course in Community Development and Social Work. He hopes to eventually complete a full teaching certificate course.
One of our own Southpointe Women will be sharing her story of God’s faithfulness in her life. This is always a favorite event each semester as we get to know each other better and see what God is doing in the lives of women in our church. Bring a snack to share!
Moms of preschoolers, bring your kids and join us for a fun morning at Lucky Ladd Farms in Eagleville. We will play, have a snack and story time together as well as enjoy the fall surroundings and activities. Register HERE

has developed strategic partnerships with U.S. churches to participate in the transformation of Guatemala, sending short-term teams that also receive the opportunity to grow in their intimacy with God, be used by God in the natural & the supernatural, and become effective witnesses for Jesus Christ.
MMM is the ministry that Southpointe partners with for our Guatemala Mission Trip
ABOUT MMM:
It was started in 1987 by Hermann Alb and his wife, Linda, to spread the gospel and plant churches through medical care to the rural poor in Guatemala
Beginning with only an old Toyota Corolla and a handful of medicines, God has blessed this ministry richly. Today, we send 30+ short-term U S teams per year to assist in approximately 100 medical clinics through a network of multi-denominational churches. We have 15 full-time staff in Guatemala and a ministry center that sleeps 50 people
We have started micro-enterprise business training through Business Partners International (“BPI”), teacher/principal education clinics, pastors’ conferences, youth conferences, skills workshops (welding and sewing) and food for the poor programs. We have adopted 6 communities where we are giving micronutrients to about 250 women. We are training what we call Health Guardians to teach others in their villages to help prevent sickness. We also partner with churches who come to build homes We are assisting in mobilizing the Guatemalan church to become a mission-minded church. None of this could have been possible without our amazing team! MMM also hosts
regular online ZOOM Pastor training and conducts an annual Pastors’ conference which over 120 Pastors attend. MMM serves over 150 village communities throughout Guatemala at this time We strive to inspire the church, facilitate outreach opportunities, pray with people, love, listen, serve and be a witness.
Hermann and Linda Alb will be here with us on October 29th It is always an honor to have him preach here at Southpointe
service on Sunday 10.29 for a Q & A lunch. There you will find out all of the details about our Mission Trip this Summer from June 22-29, 2024. Some of the members from this year ’ s team will be there to answer questions as well
