Our Parent's Day Out program serves as an extension of the children's ministry at Southpointe. It is designed to bring families into a life-changing encounter with the Kingdom of God while encouraging preschool children to grow spiritually, academically, emotionally, physically and socially. While we are preparing children with the education skills necessary for Kindergarten, our highest priority is to show them Christ’s love and teach them that Jesus cares about every detail of their lives. In December of 2014, with a burgeoning SP Kids program at Southpointe and big dreams in their hearts, the SP Kids team received approval to move forward with starting a Parent's Day Out program at Southpointe. God quickly provided Kim King as the Director and passionate teachers who had years of experience, filling rosters the first year. As we sought God's guidance, we've seen our program grow, not just in numbers, but in providing a place for our PDO families to build community as well as connecting with church members as they visit on Sunday.
Testimonials
Southpointe PDO has grown our 3 yr old daughter so much just in her first semester. I appreciate the effort the teachers and staff put into teaching the kids kindness. I can see how our daughter has enjoyed the structure and creativity in her art & music class. The teachers are responsive & trustworthy. They are welcoming, calm, and loving. I've seen the value they put into the gospel, and it's been a blessing to see her ask to pray at the dinner table. -Emily Rose
We love Southpointe PDO! Both of our boys have attended the program. The teachers are all amazing and clearly love their students. I’m always amazed at what my boys learn in the short amount of time they spend at PDO every week. -Cari Hines Southpointe PDO has been such a blessing to our family. There is nothing more difficult than leaving your child in the care of others, but the kind teachers at SP have always gone above and beyond to silence those fears. They provide a safe and loving environment that really feels like a home away from home. The program fosters growth and learning based on biblical truths, reminding the kids daily that Jesus loves them! We entered the Pre-K program this year and the level of education being taught in the classroom is unmatched. Whether it’s singing songs about the Lord to the babies or teaching kids how to write their lowercase letters, SP teachers do it all with full hearts! These women are truly the hands and feet of Jesus, serving the families within our community. They are invested in these kids and their futures, and that makes all the difference. Our family is so thankful for this program. We feel incredibly blessed to have such an amazing support team walking alongside us in raising our babies to be warriors for the Lord! -Alexandra N.
