2023/24
Sovini Construction specialise in the construction of new build housing and have an ambitious build programme, with all types of tenure across the North-West, including affordable social housing. Our standards are set very high, and this is represented in the work we produce for our partners. Our colleagues are fully immersed in the culture and ethics of the company and Sovini Construction plays a key part in achieving The Sovini Group’s mission of creating opportunities and changing lives.
We deliver social value and community impact through our efforts, resulting in positive outcomes in the communities we serve. Making a difference is at the heart of everything we do and goes beyond building, we embrace all aspects of social value, resulting in a positive economic benefit.
Based on the National TOMs Framework guidelines, this evaluation confirms that additional social value has been created locally through our working practices and activities. It was calculated that £15.11m of value has been delivered in 2023/24; leading to a combined Social Return on Investment (SROI) of £7.66 for every £1 invested.
“Our local communities are at the heart of everything we do. Social value is not something we see as a separate part of the process, we believe the benefits we bring through our new build activity results in a positive effect in all the communities we work. Creating opportunity and enhancing life chances for local people runs through the DNA of the business.
We differentiate from others by demonstrating our commitment which is measured and disseminated throughout our social impact report. We are proud to be able to report on the collaborative work and the impact we have achieved this year, and we will continue to strive to deliver further positive impacts within the communities we work and are already planning further social value commitments for next year” - James Flannery, Director of Construction & Land
The social value total combines the impact achieved on behalf of clients, stakeholders and local communities during the financial year 2023-24.

Inclusion Plus Football Club, who compete in the region’s first female only league LCFA Sefton, were established to support positive mental health and to promote inclusion across the local LGBTQ+ community; creating a safe space on and off the pitch.
Jassmin, from Inclusion Plus FC said: “Inclusion Plus FC has been sponsored by Sovini Construction for a few seasons now. What we’ve been able to achieve with their help and support is something special. As we are an LGBTQIA+ Mental Health team, we have players who struggle mentally, physically and financially in day to day life.
Our aim from the start was to break down barriers, create a safe space and help
people get back into football to improve their overall well-being. Therefore, without Sovini Construction we would not be where we are today. With their support, we have been able to help over 40 players and hopefully more over the next few seasons.
From Sovini’s sponsorship, we have been able to create more opportunities for players of all abilities to play and also stabilise the ever growing costs of just being able to play football.
As we prepare for our upcoming season, we’ve been able to create a brand new kit in which all our players will be comfortable and most importantly, proud to wear.
We feel very grateful to have been given this opportunity by Sovini Construction and we look forward to working with them for the next few seasons.”
