The festival starts this year on Friday 29th June when we’ll be rolling out the bunting for our annual Pimlico Proms, featuring the Northern California Children’s Choir and very special guest Eve Ferrett with Kew Wind Orchestra. This year’s Proms will be free for all and we hope to see you there celebrating our incredible community in true SouthWestFest style. Kicking off Festival Day 2018 is our Everyvoice Carnival Parade through the streets of Pimlico on Saturday 30th June. This year’s parade will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Vote for Women with parade groups in purple, white and green to honour inspirational female figures of past and present in the historic colours of the suffragettes!

We will transform the gardens into a magical Teddy Bears’ woodland, where little kids, bunnies and bears, families and friends can set up their picnics and then get involved with the craft workshops, storytelling, face-painting, fairy cake making and parachute games. Dressing up as your favourite woodland creature or teddy bear is very much encouraged. This event promises to be a fantastic day out for all the family! Free | Donations gratefully received, all funds raised go towards supporting the production of free and low-cost events taking place across SW1 for SouthWestFest 2018 | southwestfest.org.uk
