Welcome to SouthWestFest 2017 We’re really very excited about the programme we have planned this year and hope you’re looking forward to another vibrant Festival bursting with events, workshops and activities for everyone to enjoy. If you would like to stay connected and enjoy more of what we have on offer throughout the Festival, take a look at our website www.southwestfest.org.uk where you can find out all about SouthWestFest, discover all our events, book tickets, learn about our latest news and sign up for our mailing list. The Festival starts this year on Friday 30th June with our annual Pimlico Proms, opening with the IDMC Gospel Singers, and featuring opera and classical singer Felicity Hayward singing with the Kew Wind Orchestra. The Pimlico Proms will be followed by our SW OneWorld Carnival Parade through the streets of Pimlico and our Festival Day on 1st July. The Festival Day will feature our brand new Healthzone brought to you by the Churchill Gardens and Tachbrook Community Champions with taster recipes and food, mini massages, sports games and more. Plus there will be community stalls from local organisations, interactive workshops, fairground rides, special guests

from Vauxhall City Farm, and a stage showcasing fantastic live music and dance! Throughout the Festival, you can also expect some brilliant community events hosted by The Royal Court Theatre, Tate Britain, Westminster School of Performing Arts, Westminster City Council Recycling Team, Flamenco Gusto, The Cave, Musicus CIC, Open Age, The Hampstead Players and many more! This year will also see the return of our popular SouthWestFest workshops in creative writing, and photography! We will be welcoming friends and family alike to our Sing-along River Cruise and also don’t miss our Comedy Night with Jonny the Fox featuring some of London’s amazing stand-up talent at one of our favourite local pubs The Barley Mow. Sunday 9th July will be our very popular annual family picnic in Millbank Gardens. This year’s theme is ‘Under the Sea’, so mums and dads, little mermaids, Dorys, Nemos, pirates, scuba divers, dolphins, and all their little friends can set up their picnics in the lovely gardens and then get involved with the craft workshops, storytelling, fairy cake decorating and parachute games. This event promises to be a fantastic day out for all the family!
