How to MAKE your own Medicine As the cold and flu season ramps up many of us have already felt the effects of soar throat and shared some sniffles. If you are like our family and choose to wait out our cold rather than running to the nearest pharmacy, you may appreciate these all natural recipes for relief of the most common symptoms of colds and flu’s.

Homemade Vapor Rub

Make your own lozenges:

15 drops peppermint essential oil

Pour 1/2 cup of honey (local and raw is best) and a few drops of peppermint extract into a small pot. (You may choose to also you cinnamon or ginger in your recipe.)

Directions: Place the pot over medium high heat and bring the honey to a boil, stirring the whole time.

Use a candy thermometer to check the temperature, remove the honey from the heat when it reaches 300 degrees F. Use a teaspoon to pour drops of the honey onto oiled parchment paper. Allow them to harden. Keep away from heat, or refrigerate to keep their shape and hardness. You can make this same recipe into a lollipop by adding a lollipop stick to each poured out lozenge, great for kids. *Children under 12months should not be given honey.

1/4 cup olive oil 1 Tbsp. grated beeswax 60 drops eucalyptus essential oil

15 drops rosemary essential oil 15 drops clary sage essential oil Directions: Place the olive oil in a small saucepan. Add the beeswax and heat over medium-low heat until the beeswax dissolves, whisking regularly. Allow to cool until slightly warm. Add essential oils and whisk thoroughly. Pour into a small, wide-mouth glass jar. Massage onto chest or onto upper lip as needed.

Make your own Cough Syrup: 1 cup freshly chopped onion 1/2 cup raw honey Plus any of the following (optional): 1 tsp. Cloves (whole or powdered)specifically good for pain relief

1-2 Tbsp. Slippery Elm (dried or powdered) - Slippery Elm has a reputation for soothing and coating the throat 1-2 Tbsp. fresh chopped Ginger root OR 1 tsp. Ginger powder- Ginger increases warmth, circulation (important for healing) and the overall effectiveness of the syrup 1-2 Tbsp. dried Mullein and/ or Marshmallow Root. Marshmallow is very helpful for soothing throat irritations and calming coughs, and Mullein is an expectorant, good at clearing up hacking coughs and congestion.

Allow 20 minutes of simmering, then remove from heat. Strain the onions and herbs out and store the remaining honey (which might have flecks of herb in it and this is fine) in a small glass jar with a lid. Keep cough syrup in the refrigerator.

Directions: Put chopped onions and any herbs of choice into a small stainless steel or glass pot. Add enough honey to cover the onions.

Turn the pot on low heat and slowly simmer. The honey will soften and become liquid, and you want to keep the temperature very low while allowing the herbs to steep in the honey. It's best to keep a lid on to help keep all of the medicinal properties of the herbs in the syrup, and just take the lid off to give it a 8

Elderberry Cough Syrup:

teaspoons a day during times of illness.

1 cup fresh or 1/2 cup dried elderberries (*stems removed)

Keep in mind that elderberry syrup is made purely of berries and honey, so you do not have to be as careful as you would with conventional medicines. Elderberries are used worldwide in jellies, wines, pies and other foods. Too much elderberry syrup is likely to result in the same sort of result as too much blueberry syrup -- a stomach ache.

3 cups water 1 cup raw local honey Directions: Bring the berries and water to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 30-45 minutes.

Mash the berries, strain and add the honey to the liquid. Mix well. Discard or compost the mashed berries.

Elderberry extracts are considered safe for children, pregnant women and those with compromised immune systems.

However, this recipe contains honey, which should not be given to children under one year old.

Pour the elderberry syrup into a jar with a lid and store in the refrigerator. Keeps two to three months.

You can substitute maple syrup (which also has its own health benefits) for a delicious alternative.

*Note: Elderberry stems are poisonous in large quantities. Sift through your berries and discard any long stems before cooking.

Dosage: A tablespoon per day will keep your immune system strong. Take 2 to 3 tablespoons per day to fight flu or other sickness. For children, a teaspoon a day will keep their immune systems strong and this can be increased to 3

How Quantum Physics PROVES There Is an After-Life By: Amanda Froelich,

Debate regarding religion and spirituality has caused more discord than any other topic throughout history. While belief in synchronistic design has helped some reach unimaginable heights, others outright reject the notion of a supreme being – or an eternal life.

From a scientific aspect, many prefer to suppose the notion of an after-life either ridiculous – or at least improbable. However, one expert claims the proof of life beyond the grave lies in Quantum Physics. Professor Robert Lanza believes the theory of biocentrism teaches that death as we know it is an illusion created by our consciousness.

A variety of spiritual texts teach that ‘existence’ on this plane is an experience of the limit-less, immortal soul.

To prove his theories, the famous double-slit experiment was cited to back up his claims. In the experiment, when scientists watch a particle pass through two slits in a barrier, the particle behaves like a bullet and goes through one slit or the other. Yet if a person doesn’t watch the particle, it acts like a wave. This means it can go through both slits at the same time.

This demonstrates that matter and energy can display characteristics of both waves and particles, and that behavior of the particle changes based on a person’s perception and consciousness. As the collective consciousness shifts into better understanding of the universe and the self, it can only be hoped scientific studies will continue to validate what spiritual teachings have long since acknowledged as truth.

As this year is coming to a close, so many thoughts come to mind of the highs and lows of the year. All the emails, calls I have received, all the clients I have read, and the tissues I have placed on the table. This has been such a wonderful year of change for so many, including myself; a year of growth and wonderment, at times, shock and awe.

I have been able, through my gifts, to guide oh so many interesting people this year; to make the changes in their lives that allow them to grow into finding their voices, as well as fulfilling their dreams. This gives me such a sense of pride to have been a part of many people's journey on their "yellow brick road" as I call it.

Last month as I looked back at all the things that have come to me, including this column; I realized that there is still so much more for me to do in this field. This month I closed my radio show, and am moving forward in another avenue of media soon. I will share this when I am able to make it public. Please know that I am very excited about it, and hope that you will share in all of it with me.

These holidays are filled with excitement for all of us for so many different reasons. I have received so many emails about them. The overall theme is this...Family. Loving family at times can be difficult, but during the holidays it becomes more apparent than any other time to bring it all together; to let the past go.

Agree to disagree with issues between one another, allow the love to become stronger than the difference. Share all the happy memories during these times; never let them die. Let the younger generation remember some of them, even the silly ones. They are how we live on in each one's memories after we go on to the next level: the life of our spirit. When we have this moment of understanding between each other, it has such a ripple effect on not only our own lives, but extends to the aspects of other person's as well. When one learns how to "agree to disagree"...they learn a skill for life, a skill that ripples down into other subject matters. It has such an interesting effect. I have seen how it works for others. It flows into their work, their

crafts, their love life, and their family lives.

I heard from a number of people that they did listen about "cleaning up their plate" and sharing their memories with family after dinner and before. It made my spirit feel very happy; I pray that THIS has a great ripple effect and will continue, not just for holiday time.

The spirit healing and sharing is such a great blessing for all of us. As we head to what some think is the biggest holiday of the year, please don't wait for it to, "clean", "share", "agree", but most of all, just love one another. As the old commercial use to say...."it does the heart good". I send you all a great abundance of love and light and pray that you enjoy your holidays! Ascension & Vegetarianism with Trish LeSage Sooner or later, once a person is on the path of ascension long enough, they may become a vegetarian.

This happens naturally, and the person may experience the following:

The person may not desire meat at all anymore.

Since meat is a lower vibrational food, the body does not feel like it needs it anymore. When a person's energy vibration increases throughout the process of ascension, they may instead, find themselves craving higher vibrational foods such as fruits, vegetables, seeds, and nuts.

A person who is far enough along the path of ascension may also begin to experience digestive problems when consuming meat. They may feel nauseated, have heartburn or acid reflux, aching and pains in the stomach and intestines, diarrhea, etc.

A person who has proceeded far enough along the path of ascension eventually feels at one with not only humanity, but with the entire animal kingdom and all of nature. Animals are loved and respected as intelligent beings and as their sisters and brothers. As a result of this, the person may experience emotional issues while consuming meat. For example, they may feel a strong wave of sadness or even be brought to tears while consuming meat. The thought of consuming a being that was once alive, and then killed for consumption becomes difficult to bear.

Compassion for the animal that is being consumed may also be experienced.

Eventually the whole concept of a reality system having been created in which humans and animals need to kill one another in order to survive may begin to bother a person who is far along the path of

ascension. The whole system of violence and brutality of the 3rd dimension Earth becomes harder and harder to bare. Wanting to live in a place that is in a high enough dimension in which society does not kill others in order to survive may become a strong desire. This should come as no surprise, as it has been said that in the higher dimensions beings consume pure energy or light rather than food. Similar to this would be the 3rd dimension Earth equivalent of getting enough exposure to sunlight in order for the human body to contain enough Vitamin D. If you still eat meat, it does not necessarily mean that you are not ascending, or that you will not ascend. Similarly, if you still eat meat, it also does not necessarily mean that you are not evolved spiritually. This article simply mentions some of the symptoms that people who are on the path of ascension have been experiencing.

Therefore, if you are on the path of ascension, and all of the sudden, you find yourself not desiring meat anymore, you now understand why. Our energy vibration is increasing, and we eventually do not need to consume the lower vibrational foods any longer. We begin to crave foods that are more in alignment with our increasing energy vibration.
