A very warm welcome to you all and our Summer Edition of our Newsletter.

This Newsletter brings you a range of resources, news and much more, so grab a cuppa, sit back and have a read. We will resume our courses in September and the timetable will be available during August. We will email you a link to this, when it is live on our website.

We here at the college would like to thank each and every one of you for continuing to travel on your road of Recovery with us. On behalf of all of the team here, we would like to congratulate you all on the strength, resilience and growth that you have gained, since becoming a student. We wish you all a lovely Summer break.

College News

2023 is a milestone year for the Recovery College, as it marks our 10 Year Anniversary! Staff celebrated at The Crafty Bug Café. Comprising of cream teas, celebratory cake and crafting Below are some photographs from that day Watch this space for further information on upcoming celebrations!

We are constantly responding to your course evaluation feedback and we are working to implement changes over the summer, to improve your student journey.

Summer Break:

During the Summer break, we will be holding both a Student Voice Social & a Journaling Workshop. During the break we will contact you with a poll for renaming our Student Voice Social.

Summer Social /SVS: We will be holding this over the holidays. The theme is based on Hope please keep an eye out for the invite, that will be sent out during August. This will be held via Zoom on: Tuesday 5th September 10 am to 12 noon

SWEET SUMMER TREAT RECIPE

STRAWBERRYCHOCOLATE GREEK YOGHURT BARK

Suggestion from Mel Cross, Our Learning Plan Assistant

Strawberry-Chocolate Greek Yogurt Bark (eatingwell com)

Ingredients

• 3 cups whole-milk plain Greek yogurt

• ¼ cup pure maple syrup or honey

• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

• 1 ½ cups sliced strawberries

• ¼ cup mini chocolate chips

Directions

1 Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper

2. Stir yogurt, maple syrup (or honey) and vanilla in a medium bowl. Spread on the prepared baking sheet into a 10-by-15-inch rectangle. Scatter the strawberries on top and sprinkle with chocolate chips

3. Freeze until very firm, at least 3 hours. To serve, cut or break into 32 pieces.
