It’s time to talk about the science of collaboration in a new way — so that you can find new results. That success starts with your story. In this keynote presentation, you will discover how to change the conversation around teamwork, engagement and personal effectiveness. You will learn how principles can create greater retention for your team — reducing drama, driving inclusion, and improving the way that your office works together. There is a process for greater self-leadership, ownership, and engagement. The Dilemma of the Missing Lateral Incisor

Dr. David Sarver

1:00 pm – 4:30 pm | 3 CE Credits | Clinical Track

As orthodontists we have a dilemma of trying to please our referring dentists but also do what is best for our patients. The two objectives may be difficult to match up. For example, is an implant the only restorative option for a missing lateral incisor in a 14-year-old (NO!), or even a 45-year-old adult? When is a patient “fully grown”? We will cover long-term data on implants and how craniofacial growth and maturation have a real effect on our decision making in the esthetic zone. We plan for a broad-ranging discussion on topics that they don’t teach dentists in dental school and about things they certainly aren’t exposed to when they are in practice. Learning Objectives:

• The science of craniofacial growth, maturation, and aging

• The significance of the presented science in clinical decision making

• The tetrad of decision making for the orthodontist and restorative team in making appropriate decisions in timing and options for treatment
