It all began with a bus ride up the mountain to a little Peruvian town. Rick and I were on our way to hike in order to get some exercise and fresh air. Plus, dropping off a New Testament to a Quechua lady that Rick prayed for after her husband broke her arm in a fuss. WHERE HAVE WE BEEN WHERE ARE WE NOW
We arrived in Ayacucho, Peru in 2017 with a strong sense of God’s call to share the good news of Jesus and plant churches centered in Him. We have made many new relationships, verbally sharing the gospel, holding worship services, and discipling new believers in God’s Word. Our challenge has been to share Jesus with a people trapped in dark religiosity, due to their culture and past tradition so that they can be reconciled to God. We have sought to see where God is at work and join Him there.
We share with joy that a church is being established in Ayacucho with Peruvian leadership.

In 2022, our church family was adopted by the Iglesia Biblica Cristiana (IBC), a denomination with whom we work alongside. We were commissioned as their missionaries even as we remain a part of South America Mission (SAM).

We continue with weekly worship services and discipleship meetings. We have added a weekly prayer gathering.
We also rejoice that we now have our own rental space.
WHERE WE ARE HEADED
We see our church, Iglesia Biblica Cristiana Ayacucho, working alongside the other churches of the IBC to make followers of Jesus by preaching and teaching the Word of God. We see our church planting more Peruvian churches in the city of Ayacucho, other states of Peru, and beyond. To do so, we need more missionary personnel, prayer, and financial support. We are raising funds to purchase our own building as a mission hub and training center.
