THE Vision Fund
The Vision Fund sustains our missionaries and allows them to thrive. We utilize it to multiply our workers, invest in leaders, resource our work, and launch new Kingdom ministry initiatives. It provides the foundation and the infrastructure necessary for everything we do. The Vision Fund is fueled by a community of partners who love God and His global church.
WHERE WE’VEBeen
Over half a billion people live in Latin America. For more than 110 years, South America Mission has had the privilege of serving the diverse and beautiful people of Latin America. Our history is a testimony to God’s faithfulness: millions of people have been exposed to the gospel through SAM’s influence, hundreds of thousands of people have heard the gospel preached, and thousands of people have become new believers. But, our work isn’t finished. Our zeal to see the Church of Jesus Christ multiplied is just as vibrant as it was 110 years ago.
That’s why we invite you to capture the vision alongside us of more lives redeemed, more beautiful churches planted, and more communities transformed by the gospel across Latin America by investing in the Vision Fund.

ENVISIONINGThe Future
Because we know God’s work is primarily done through God’s people, we put great effort into caring for our missionaries and partners as they serve the people of Latin America. Our heart is to see local leaders in Latin America trained and equipped to transform their own communities with the message of the gospel: ultimately to see Latin Americans minister to Latin Americans
“ Going,” “ making disciples,” and “church ” are all fundamentally about people – God’s redemptive agents.
Our active presence in South America for more than a century has allowed our missionary team to cultivate deep and abiding relationships with the people, culture, and communities in which the work of ministry is flourishing.
As we look ahead to the plans God would have for South America Mission, we’re asking this question:
“What does our missionary team need to continue to thrive and be most effective in ministry?”
First, our missionaries need to be well-equipped and supported. We need the resources to have people placed in areas ripe with opportunity. In other words, we need workers both here, in the States, and there, globally, invested and ready for a plentiful harvest. And we also want to engage North American churches in the work in Latin America.
Secondly, our missionaries need increased leadership capacity. We want to attract, train, and support great talent. This would entail an increase in salaries to meet the current cost of living and adding necessary support roles to better empower and equip local leaders to be more effective.
Lastly, our missionaries need our support structures to be optimized for maximum impact. We want to provide our team with office spaces and appropriate technology designed to further their work and ministry.
