Dear Friends, The 2nd quarter of the financial year had been quite eventful for Lumax DK Jain Group. Firstly, let me congratulate my son, the Chairman and Managing Director of Lumax Industries Limited Mr Deepak Jain on assuming the role of ACMA President.

Secondly, I would like to thank everyone for their achievements in this quarter by stating that your efforts did not go in vain.

From putting up a tremendous show at Innovation Day #4 to winning awards for the last three consecutive years at ICQCC, you have kept the Lumax DK Jain Group flag flying high. It is truly remarkable that despite the slowdown in the automotive industry and overall economy, your spirits of achieving the targets have not died down. As we gear up for the festive season, I am confident that Lumax will shine brighter.

However, in order to stay relevant, Lumax will have to continuously focus on futuristic products and technological innovation. The Innovation Day #4 was just a teaser of what our group is capable of. For the greater good, we must keep the momentum going and be future-ready. One should not limit itself, if there is a failure, learn from the mistake and try again and again till we achieve success. I would also like to encourage everyone to focus on patents, which

not only gives motivation to individuals but helps the organisation move from good to great. Special thanks to all our partners for their support in building our technological capability.

As a leader of the group, I would again humbly request everyone to intensify the conservation efforts and optimise expenses. It is the need of the hour for us to be judicious in our approach to improve our internal efficiencies so that we can prepare for the future. Our measures on TPM, Zero Defect, Safety, Process Innovation, Kaizen, Employee Welfare and CSR must not stop.

Let us keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing novel things, because everyone of us is curious and curiosity will eventually lead us to new destinations.

In Search of Light The Inspiring Story of DK Jain (DK) Reading a good book is like taking a journey, these are not mere words rather a true essence. In July, the much-awaited biography of our Chairman Mr Dhanesh Kumar Jain, fondly DK, was unveiled in the form of a Coffee Table Book.

Every journey has a beginning. Every life has a purpose. But some lives are driven by a passion. A passion so strong that it transforms everything around them. The book titled as ‘In Search of Light’ encapsulates the incredibly inspiring journey of Mr Jain celebrating his life, experiences and hard work that built Lumax. His journey from a small room in Chandni Chowk to being Chairman of a large group in the auto component industry, is a story of patience, perseverance and prosperity. But most of all, it is a story of relationships. The book covers several aspects of his relationships with his family, friends, customers, partners and many other people whom he influenced on his journey.

With an august gathering of family, friends and industry stalwarts in July 2019, the Chairman – Force Motors Dr Abhay Firodia and CEO & MD – Maruti Suzuki India Mr Kenichi Ayukawa unveiled the Coffee Table Book.

Mankind has often mistaken technology as a static picture. Rather, it is like a motion picture where the velocity of technology is what matters. The acceleration matters.

The Innovation Day #4 was one of the biggest events of this year. The flagship event of the Lumax DK Jain Group is a platform to demonstrate innovative and advanced technologies and processes to the customers.

This year, Innovation Day was held at Pune, Maharashtra and was attended by more than 50 customers including Bajaj Auto, Tata Motors, Force Motors, John Deere, Mahindra & Mahindra, Skoda, TAFE among others. The guests were attended by Mr Vineet Sahni, CEO and Sr ED, Lumax Industries Limited and senior management team.

The focus was in line with our goal of showcasing futuristic designs and concepts. Products with innovation and advanced technologies were displayed and showcased - 4-Wheeler lighting solutions and 2-Wheeler lighting solutions offering Concept lighting, DRLs, Sequential lights, VRX Simulation showcasing advanced lighting solutions, LED lighting

solutions, Plastic Trim components, Plastic Kinematic products, Emission products, Gear Shifter mechanism components, Seating components, Wiring Harness, 2W-Chassis and Telematics products & services. The event served as a prelude to the Auto Expo 2020 where the group plans to demonstrate its products and services at a much larger scale.

Going with its tradition to also promote its suppliers, the event was attended by LG Chem, Signum Electrowave, Inabata and Swingtel Communication Pvt. Ltd.

In another visit, Mr Ashwini Jaiswal, Advisor SC-CGR5 & SMG Support Department from the Maruti Suzuki India Limited visited Lumax Mannoh Allied Technologies Limited, Gujarat in August 2019. The purpose of the visit was to assess Manpower Planning and other related issues.

Lumax Industries Limited participated in the Tata Motors Annual Suppliers Conference, held in Pune in August 2019. The theme of the Conference was Driving the Future of Mobility.

International Automotive Supply Chain Conclave

President – ACMA and CMD – Lumax Industries Limited, Mr Deepak Jain spoke to the Chief Guest, Hon'ble Minister of State for Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises and Parliamentary Affairs, Govt. of India, Mr Arjun Ram Meghwal on the sidelines of the International Automotive Supply Chain Conclave organised by CII at New Delhi in August 2019 regarding challenges in the Automotive Industry.

2nd ACMA Value Chain Summit, Ahmedabad, Gujarat

Lumax DK Jain Group participated at the 2nd ACMA Value Chain Summit held in July 2019 at Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The Chief Guest, Mr Kenichi Ayukawa, MD & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India, inaugurated the event. The Summit was attended by representatives of several OEMs - Tata Motors, MG Motors, Atul Auto, HMSI, Hero MotoCorp, etc., and 44 auto component exhibitors. Lumax displayed a wide range of products that included Urea Tank, Gear Shift Tower, Oxygen Sensors and Telematics Solutions.

TI Automotive 2019

Lumax Ituran Telematics Pvt. Ltd. participated in the 9th edition of TI Automotive organised by NASSCOM CoE-IoT and Telematics Wire in August 2019. The two-day event was India’s largest B2B / Business Networking platform for Vehicle Telematics, ADAS and Autonomous Vehicle Industry. Lumax Ituran showcased its advanced technology in Telematics such as vehicle tracking, vehicle diagnostics & maintenance and safety & security at the event.

Electronics Design Meet

Lumax DK Jain Group organised the Electronics Design Meet in August 2019 in Gurugram. Mr Sandeep Raina, Senior Vice-President, Mr Rohit Dang, Deputy General Manager, Mr Dinesh Singh Sahrawat, Assistant General Manager and Mr Puneet Kumar, Senior Manager from Maruti Suzuki India attended and shared their views on future of electronics design in India.

A new Production Line was inaugurated at Lumax Industries Limited, Bengaluru by CEO and Sr ED Mr Vineet Sahni in August 2019.

3D Surface Scanner Inauguration Mr Vineet Sahni, CEO & Senior Executive Director inaugurated a new 3D Surface Scanner in August 2019. It was installed in the in-house New Product department of the Aftermarket Division. The Scanner will improve quality control measures and give an edge in design and development.

iAuto Connect, Noida

Mr Deepak Jain, President â&#x20AC;&#x201C; ACMA and CMD â&#x20AC;&#x201C; Lumax Industries Limited along with other dignitaries inaugurated iAuto Connect event focussing on Reverse Buyers-Sellers Meet organised by ACMA & Ministry of Commerce, Government of India at the Expo Centre Noida in September 2019. The three-day event was attended by component manufacturers from 40 countries. Lumax DK Jain Group was represented by its Aftermarket Division.

Monthly Communications Meet

Monthly Communications Meet was organised at the Lumax Industries Limited, Bawal in August 2019. The aim of the meet was to assess the status of product defects and team motivation. Mr Bharat Bajaj, the Plant Head addressed the staff and distributed awards: the monthly Kaizen winner, Ms Shivani was recognised as the Best Employee of the month and the HR department was commended for offering best Scheme suggestion. Similarly, Monthly Communications Meet was also organised at the Lumax Industries Limited, Gujarat in July 2019. The meet is a platform to discuss and reward operational performances.

PAC & VC - Aftermarket

Product Awareness Campaigns and Van Campaigns were organised by the Aftermarket Division across the country to raise awareness about the wide range of aftermarket products in July-September 2019.

Open House Meet Lumax DK Auto Industries Limited, Pantnagar organised an Open House Meet in August 2019 to provide an open platform to update employees about the company performance and to take suggestions and resolve employee issues.

Operation review meets were held at all the plants for the Quarter 2 of FY 2019-20.

SAP-HRIS For Entire Lumax Group Goes Live Successfully launching and operationalising the SAP-HRIS for Lumax DK Jain group in August 2019, the HR team spearheaded by Ms Ibha Lal, Vice President & Corporate Head HR & Safety achieved the milestone.

This platform includes Recruitment, Onboarding and Employee Central operations for staff and Payroll facility for all on-roll employees. The staff can now access all HR-related details on the portal.

Inauguration of New Assembly Line A new assembly line was inaugurated at Lumax Industries Limited, Pantnagar by Mr Rajput Rajdeep Singh, Manager - NPD from Mahindra & Mahindra in September 2019.

International Convention on Quality Control Circle

Lumax Industries Limited, Bengaluru and Lumax Mannoh Allied Technologies Limited, Manesar bagged the Gold and Silver Awards respectively at ICQCC 2019 held at Tokyo, Japan. A total of 368 teams from 13 countries participated in the global Quality Control Circles Competition.

Lumax DK Jain group bagged the ICQCC awards for the third consecutive year in a row.

A 12-member delegation from CII led by Mr Y. Murase JIPM TPM Auditor, paid a visit to the Lumax Auto Technologies Limited, Bengaluru in August 2019 to audit the Process Flow and steps taken in Total Production Maintenance.

Energy Management Lumax Industries Limited, Bawal became the first among all Automobile Manufacturers to earn the new Standard Certification for Implementing ISO-50001-2018 (Energy Management). This achievement was made possible due to the rigorous and consistent efforts of the team which include Mr Jyotish Sen (AGM TPM & QMS), Ms Jyoti (Sr Engineer QMS), Mr Rohit Mishra (Energy Management), Mr Kuldeep (Maintenance). The Audit was conducted by Mr Anupam Chopra (Team Leader) and Mr Gaurav Srivastava (Team Auditor).

Auditors Mr Sameer Limaya and Mr Sanjay Kumbhar from TUV Nord, visited the Lumax Gill-Austem Auto Technologies Pvt Ltd, Pune to conduct an Audit in EMS-ISO-14001:2015 & OHSMSISO-45001:2018 in August 2019. The plant cleared the Audit and became the first plant in Lumax DK Jain group to be certified.

Mr Iqbal Ahmed Khan, the Lead Auditor from DNV GL conducted a three-day Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety Surveillance Audit in July 2019 at Lumax Auto Technologies Limited, Bengaluru.

Fire Safety & Mock Drill

Fire Safety and Mock Drill was organised at the Lumax Industries Limited, Manesar plant in August 2019. 132 workers and staff members participated in the drill and learnt the use of FE and FH to douse fire under controlled conditions.

As part of its periodic safety procedures, Mr Bharat Bajaj, the Plant Head reviewed the emergency preparedness plan of the company and conducted a mock drill at the Lumax Industries Limited, Bawal in August 2019.

Lumax DK Auto Industries Limited, Pantnagar, conducted a Fire Safety & Mock Drill at the plant in August 2019. All employees of the plant participated in the drill.

Ms Ibha lal, Sr VP & Corporate Head – HR & Safety, Ms Hema Kandpal, Sr Executive – Corporate HR, Ms Anamika Shreesh, Sr Executive – HR and Plant Head and AGM Mr Dilip Dalbhanjan conducted the training, screened videos related to safety and energy management for horizontal deployment. The two-day workshop also included Trainer Attendance Matrix and Trainer Identification portfolio apart from creating opportunities for Injection Moulding at Lumax Industries Limited, Chakan, Plastic Moulding & Quality at Lumax Cornaglia Auto Technologies Pvt Ltd, Pune and Plastic Moulding & ST at Lumax Industries Limited, Chakan.

Kiken Yochi

Ms Ibha lal, Sr VP & Corporate Head - HR & Safety conducted Kiken Yochi training programme at the Lumax Industries Limited, Chakan in August 2019. The training programme focusses on methods to maintain safety procedures while manually handling materials and performing tasks such as wielding, stamping, cutting and bending.

Similar, Kiken Yochi Danger Prediction Training was conducted in September 2019 at the Lumax Industries Limited, Manesar to sensitise employees toward safety measures necessary while manually handling tasks such as wielding, stamping, cutting and bending on the factory floor.

Office TPM Mr Himanshu Sharma GM - TPM & Energy Management conducted an Office Total Productive Maintenance training in July 2019 at the Lumax Industries Limited, Chakan. The training session was attended by all the staff.

SPARSH

A unique initiative – ‘Sparsh’ was launched by the Corporate HR team where Ms Ibha Lal, Sr VP & Corporate Head – HR & Safety in July 2019 engaged with all plant employees. The objective of the initiative focusses on understanding the concerns of the employees, especially the new joinees/transferred employees. Through this initiative, the Corporate HR has reached out to, over 230 employees till September 2019, understanding their concerns, sharing ideas and receiving constructive feedback across several locations. Apart from feedback, the initiative encompasses an awareness session on Work Life Balance taking care of the 4 quadrants of life – Personal, Professional, Social and Spiritual.

Shree Ganesha Through Ganesha

Lumax Gill-Austem Auto Technologies Pvt Ltd-PCNTDA, Bhosari, organised a function to mark the 5th year of Shree Ganesha through Ganesha Initiative that concluded in August 2019. The Function was attended by the Founder of the School Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji High School and by Mr Rajesh Dubbewar, Senior Vice-President & Domain Head Metallic and Mr Ashish Dubey Senior General Manager & Chief Financial Officer, Lumax Auto Technologies Limited. The children of the Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji High School make beautiful Ganesh idols that are sold to raise funds to help them with additional needs of learning aids.

diagnosis and support camps at Delhi/ NCR. More than 2,430 new patients were supported through these camps taking the total number of Healthcare support to more than 28,830 in the last four years.

Lumax believes in a future, that is better than today. And Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today. Going by this thought, we put efforts in providing holistic education opportunity to the underprivileged. The CSR team focussed on several activities in the last quarter which included Teacherâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Day Celebrations, Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations and Independence Day Celebrations. Apart from this, Life Skill Sessions were held for senior secondary school on topics such as How to build Trustworthy Relation, Plan your Time and Rights of Education in Delhi/NCR. Whereas Life Skill Sessions were held for primary school to encourage students to involve in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) activities and develop a tool from basic element like: Magnet Car & Motor Boat. In another initiative, the CSR team supported government schools with learning aids to the students.

A new initiative, which is a Need-based, Talent-based and Merit-based Scholarship â&#x20AC;&#x201C; Lumax2Scholar was launched by Lumax Charitable Foundation called "Usha Ki Kiran".

The concept is to provide and bridge the need towards financial support to complete a child's education. Another new initiative, 'Roshan Vidyalaya' was started in 18 government schools in Haryana and Gujarat.

Similar to lighting up the roads which Lumax does through its Lighting Division, the initiative provided LED lights at the schools to create a conducive learning environment.

The Life Skill Sessions on How to build Trustworthy Relation, Plan your Time and Rights of Education in Delhi/NCR were also conducted with the community members which included around 50 women. With all the above initiatives in the last quarter focussing on Education, the CSR team were able to touch more than 17,000 lives.

We know for a fact that businesses cannot thrive, if society around them fails. Hence, most of our initiatives are conducted nearby our plant locations. Lumax firmly believes that creating a strong business and building a better society are essential ingredients for long-term success.

Eye & Health Check-Up Camp

Eye and health check-up camp was organised at the Lumax Industries Limited, Bengaluru in August 2019. More than 80 staff members availed the consultations with the doctors.

Health Camp

A two-day Health Camp for Blood Screening was held in collaboration with the Manipal Hospital at the Lumax Mannoh Allied Technologies Ltd and Lumax DK Auto Industries Ltd, Manesar, for all the employees of the company in July 2019. Blood screening was done for CBC, Blood Group, Serum Calcium, SGPT, SGOT and Total Cholesterol among others.

TT Immunisation Camp TT Immunisation Camp was conducted by our inhouse medical staff Dr Atul Chauhan at the Lumax Ancillary Limited, Rudrapur, for all the employees in July 2019.

In August 2019, the Lumax Industries Limited, Dharuhera observed Water Conservation Week during which a workshop was organised to share water conservation tips, review water conservation sources at the plant and initiate display and collection of suggestions from employees on how to conserve water in our everyday life.

Krishna Janmashtami Celebrations, Pantnagar

Lumax DK Auto Industries Limited, Pantnagar celebrated Krishna Janmashtami Festival at the premises of the plant by organising Dahi Handi and distribution of fruits and sweets to the participants and employees in August 2019.

Independence Day celebrations were held at all facilities of Lumax Industries Limited on 15th August, 2019 including Lumax DK Auto Industries Limited and Lumax Mannoh Allied Technologies Limited at Manesar and Lumax Industries Limited at Pune, Gujarat and Haridwar.

At many places besides saluting the flag and singing the National Anthem, the employees also drew beautiful rangolis to mark the occasion.
