While the uncertainties in business continue to disrupt economic recovery, things now seem to be settling a bit. Overall, the environment is still sluggish; OEMs have reported a decline in sales on account of constraints in supply. However, things will look up with the festive season approaching.
We are moving towards increasing customer satisfaction through better interaction with our customers at every stage of product development and after sales commitments. We have been moving in the direction of transformation, building self-reliance in technology, expanding into newer products and segments, and becoming strategic business partners. With increased focus on innovation, becoming self-reliant in technology with the continuous support of our global partners, we expect to propel growth in the long term. Smart mobility is the buzzword and is driving technology change, customers are seeking to provide smart mobility solutions to the end consumer, we as supply partners need to also have deeper consumer insights and improved solutions. Technology is going to be the key enabler, driving future mobility solutions. We need to be cognizant of the needs of the market in the most cost effective way. Our focus on product innovation, product leadership, strong customer relationship along with strong delivery capabilities, will enable us to achieve our Vision 2027. ACMA - ANNUAL GENERAL MEET The 61st ACMA Annual Session was held in August 2021 with the theme 'Living with Volatility - Survival, Revival & Growth' centering on the Indian automotive industry's resolve to survive, recover and explore new opportunities, amidst the most challenging humanitarian and business crisis due to COVID19. Mr Deepak Jain, ACMA President - 2019-21 and CMD, Lumax Industries shared that the Indian auto component industry needs to be financially prudent and keep enhancing competitiveness to explore growth opportunities.

The Design Team of Lumax Industries Limited demonstrated and showcased its new advanced automotive lighting technologies at a Technology Day organised at OLA in July 2021.

INNOVATION DAY #6 Lumax-DK Jain Group organised it’s flagship event Innovation Day #6 at the all new electronics facility of Lumax Industries Limited, Bawal in September 2021 in a hybrid (both physical and virtual) manner. The two-day event is a continued practice that the organisation engages in wherein engineers from all the domains demonstrate their innovations and advanced technologies to the esteemed guests from OEMs. This year, the event was attended by Mr CV Raman, CTO and team from Maruti Suzuki India who were impressed with the new technologies in automotive lighting and highlighted the importance of innovation to address issues and meet customer expectations. From Bajaj Auto, Mr D.V. Ranganath and team graced the occasion and highlighted the need for innovation and new ideas and showed interest in automotive lighting and telematics to provide the customers with innovative and impactful solutions. Sharing his views on the event, Mr Anil Kumar Chigulapalli, Sr GM from Tata Motors said that the progress on Automotive Lighting is quite impressive and highlighted the priority of kinematic plastic solutions. Offerings such as Diffractive Optics, OLED and low cost Projector Modules made the demonstration interesting.
The Hero MotoCorp team comprising Mr Ravi Pisipaty, Head - Plant Operations, Strategic Sourcing and Supply Chain, Mr V S Kasbekar, Chief Technology Officer and Mr Malo Le Masson, Head - Global Strategy & Product Planning among others graced the occasion both physically and virtually. Mr Kasbekar highlighted the importance of understanding the needs of the millenials and direct focus towards Next-Gen products. Understanding the capability of design, he congratulated Lumax and complimented the team for moving in the right direction in Design & New
Product Development keeping the customer’s needs in mind. The event culminated with Open House interaction between the senior management at Lumax and all the Design Engineers, Business Heads and Departmental Heads sharing and discussing Advanced Future Technologies and Solutions.
The Best Design Engineers and Individual/Team Patent Registrations were also recognised and awarded for their exceptional efforts in taking the Lumax to new heights.
ANNUAL GENERAL MEET - LUMAX INDUSTRIES The 40th Annual General Meet of Lumax Industries Limited in August, 2021 virtually.
The FY2020-21 Annual Report was themed 'Together We Can' highlighting our resolve to ensure that automotive industry be the frontliner, tackling disruptions head-on, as well as the torch bearer, leading this change. The Digitised Version of the FY2020-21 Annual Report was a continuation since the previous financial year.

The FY20-21 Annual Report was themed ‘Engage. Evolve. Excel.’ highlighting an excellent trajectory of evolution with diversified product portfolio, customer mix and cost management drive, despite the headwinds of the pandemic and overall decline in total production of vehicles by 14%.

LAUNCH OF ALPINE INFOTAINMENT SYSTEMS Lumax-DK Jain Group and Alps Alpine Asia Co. Ltd. unveiled the premium range of Alpine car audio infotainment systems for India. With the unveiling of premium head units & digital sound processor, Alpine now becomes the only company to offer the largest range of premium car audio infotainment in India. Alpine also joined hands with Lumax-DK Jain Group to establish the distribution and marketing of their products in the country.

TRAININGS POSH Lok Adalat Member Ms Anjali Maheshwari conducted the POSH training in September 2021 at Lumax Industries Limited, Haridwar.
HRIS HRIS Training was conducted by the HR Department for the Department Heads at Lumax Industries Limited, Bawal in September 2021.
MOTIVATIONAL Motivational training of Department Second Line was conducted by Mr Subhash Saraswat, EVP - Operations in August 2021 at Lumax Industries Limited, Bawal.
FIRE SAFETY Fire Safety Training was held at Lumax Industries Limited, Haridwar in August 2021. Such training is conducted to maintain zero incident status at the plants.
CSR In continuation with its commitment towards Sustainable Development Goals of 'Quality Education' and 'Good Health', Lumax Charitable Foundation undertook various activities in the communities.
HEALTHCARE LCF organised Cataract surgeries in association with its implementation partner Ishwar Charitable Trust in which 351 (183 Females, 168 Males) lives were touched. The LCF team also visited the Ishwar Charitable Trust to understand the future scope of the project and gather more information on the capabilities and the overall initiatives of ICARE & Ishwar Charitable Trust.
EDUCATION With primary schools reopening in Haryana with proper precautions, LCF continued the Life Skill Sessions online ensuring there is less physical interaction with the children, keeping in mind their safety. 240 students enjoyed these beyond school learning events.
Life-skills are an important tool to best equip students for the future, it helps students keep up with the changing time. This beyond school learning experience helps develop them to become capable and handle the future challenges well. Topics like, Communication, Empathy, Self-Awareness, Decision Making, help build their confidence and ready them to overcome the daily challenges and learn from their mistakes.
These tools empower students to take initiative and carve a path for themselves. Students are encouraged to participate and engage in these sessions. Sakshi, our implementation partner, has been developing the program on a continuous basis to meet the ever-changing needs in society. We will soon be conducting an impact study to evaluate the success of the program.
Celebrating festivals and national holidays is always fun. LCF celebrated Independence day with the students encouraging their creativity through slogan writing, poetry recitation, speech & presentation, rangoli making, Paper craft and melodious patriotic song renditions. Acknowledging the efforts of the students, prizes were distributed to the active participants attending Life Skill Online Sessions regularly. It was done to keep the students motivated and to recognise their hardwork and dedication towards learning. Our implementation partner Monk-e-wise conducts these life-skills sessions for the primary students to engage and help with beyond school learning experiences. BEYOND WORK COVID19 VACCINATION CAMP Covid19 Vaccination Camp was organized at Lumax Industries Limited, Haridwar in association with Pragati Marg Foundation (via Govt. of Uttarakhand) in September 2021.
FEEL FREE SESSIONS Feel Free Sessions were held every Friday with the associates in a planned way at Lumax Industries Limited, Bawal to listen to their queries and share the organisation’s objectives with them in July-September 2021.
SUPPORT TO AYUSHMAN HOSPITAL The Lumax-DK Jain Group Materials Team visited the Ayushman Hospital and Trauma Centre in Gurugram, Haryana to support them with medical equipment contributed by the suppliers in July 2021.
LATL NCR ANNUAL SPORTS DAY CELEBRATION Annual Sports Day was organised for the Lumax Auto Technologies Limited plants in the National Capital Region in August 2021 where several members actively participated. The day included activities such as March Past, Sports, Health Check-up camp, etc.
AWARENESS SESSION ON HIV/AIDS An Awareness Session was conducted by Ms Kumood Bisht from NACO Dehradun at Lumax Industries Limited, Haridwar October 2021.
MEDICAL CAMP A Medical Camp for health checkup was organised at Lumax Auto Technologies Limited, Pantnagar in September 2021.
BLOOD DONATION CAMP A Blood Donation Camp was organised at Lumax Auto Technologies Limited, Pantnagar in association with Shri Krishna Blood Bank in September 2021 where several members participated and donated blood.
JASHN-E-ZINDAGI & INDEPENDENCE DAY The Lumax-DK Jain Group organised the 2nd Edition of its Annual Cultural Event themed as ‘Jashn-E-Zindagi’ to celebrate life. The event was held on Independence Day where all the plants actively participated. On the occasion of Independence Day in August 2021, the Indian Tricolour was hoisted at all the plant locations.
RETIREMENT Mr Ashwani Verma, Assistant Manager - Quality, Lumax Auto Technologies Limited Aftermarket Division retired after serving the Lumax-DK Jain Group for over 36 years in August 2021.
GANESH CHATURTHI CELEBRATIONS Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated with much fervour across several plants in the Lumax-DK Jain Group. Although, understanding the covid19 situation, the safety protocols were followed for activities such as Satyanarayan Puja by newly-wed employees, Pangat given by HODs, Bhajan Sandhya, Ganesh Aarti by SI & PSI, etc.
HARELA PARV Harela Parv was celebrated at Lumax Industries Limited, Haridwar during which plantation was done by Ms Kumudh Bhist from National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) in July 2021.
VISHWAKARMA PUJA Vishwakarma Puja was celebrated across several plants in the Lumax-DK Jain Group in September 2021.
GURUPURNIMA Paying tribute to Gurus, Gurupurnima was celebrated at Lumax Cornaglia Auto Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Pune in July 2021. On this occasion all the HODs and Business Heads were also paid a tribute for their mentorship and guidance to other members of the organisation.
INTEGRITY - A CORE VALUE AT LUMAX Integrity is one of the core values at Lumax-DK Jain Group and it was on display at Lumax Cornaglia Auto Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Pune in September 2021 when one of our security personnel Mr Ravi Khanderao found an expensive silver bracelet belonging to one of our members. The member who misplaced the bracelet received the same from the HR Department. He was recognised for his honesty and integrity.
