The last financial year has been relatively good for Lumax-DK Jain Group. The Group revenue touched Rs 3,471 Crores with revenue of Lumax Auto Technologies Limited registering an all-time high of Rs 1,508 Crores. On the other hand, Lumax Industries Limited continued its momentum and registered Rs 1,751 Crores revenue. This performance of both the companies are despite the challenges of the Automotive Industry which continued due to the shortage of semiconductors, geo-political tension and supply chain disruptions onaccountofthethirdwaveofCovid–19.
However, as a group we have outperformed the industry growth during these challenging times. Lumax have been able to manage the supply chain efficiently with our vendor network to overcome the short supply challenges and are hopeful that the scenario of short supply will ease off during the
current and the upcoming quarters. In this context, I would like to congratulate each and every one of us for the relentless pursuit of excellence and passion tooutperformothers.
There is a lot of trust in the brand Lumax, as we continue to be one of the preferred suppliers to the OEMs, collaborating with our JV partners for localising globally advanced technologies. Selfreliance and localisation of products is one of the priorities to reduce the dependence on imports. It is expected that technology such as AFL-ADB projector systems will play an important role in mobility in India. Similarly, there are tremendous growth opportunities for the products chosen under PLI scheme. Hence, to keep the growth momentum going, we have to keep focusing on providing the requiredsolutionstoourCustomers,therebyensure theTrustinLumaxneverrecedes.
I would like to congratulate the teams involved in supplying of products to Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, MG Motors, Toyota, Hero and HMSI for the launches in the previous quarter. Let us keep our focus on successful implementation of Zero Defect culture amongstallourplants.
I would also like to congratulate team members of Lumax Industries Limited and Lumax Mannoh Allied Technologies for bagging three awards at the Maruti Suzuki Vendor Conference held in May. And also, congratulations to Mr Vineet Sahni for winning the Most Trusted CEO (Automotive). These recognitions are always a motivation to keep doing our best and outshineothers.

A total of 19 Channel Partners, along with family members, were accompanied by representatives from Lumax. They had also visited earlier in March 2022 for LVPT (Low Volume production trial) Audit for 560B Project for Export Knob Parts.

Giving wings to dreams – a determination to learn more!
This is an inspirational, real-life narrative of a young girl who belonged to a small district in the state of Haryana. Known to be full of energy and enthusiasm, she was very aspirational by nature and had big dreams in her eyes. Not only did she study hard, but she was also a good friend to her peers, respected her teachers and actively participated in extra-curricular activities.
It was a regular day for her in school as a visiting CSR team announced the “Usha Ki Kiran” – student to scholar program, under which deserving students would be eligible to receive grants to pursue their higher education. She confidently filled the forms, submitted all the required documents with the single-minded intent of expanding her horizons and learning more and more.
Days and months passed, there was no response from the CSR team and this young girl began to lose hope. She continued to follow-up with her teachers as well as with the principal, but she was told that the process is taking a wee bit longer than expected. She was encouraged to focus on her upcoming examinations in the meanwhile. Her exams went well, the academic session was coming to an end, and she looked forward to a new beginning.
At the start of the new session, she was gladly informed by the principal that she had been selected under the “National Means-cum-merit Scholarship Scheme” through which she, along with three other deserving classmates, will receive Rs. 1000/- per month till the completion of Class 12th.
She was filled with joy and her happiness knew no bounds, sparking like sunshine, enjoying her first achievement. It all started with a dream and determination to learn more!
Under the Lumax “Usha ki Kiran” Student to Scholar program, 214 students received Rs 8, 87,950 as scholarship starting from Rs. 750/- to Rs. 35,000/- in Haryana, Pune, and Gujarat.
Environment Day Celebrations
On World Environment Day, people take action to spread awareness about the environment and also motivate others to do the same, in hopes of creating a better future which also act like a reminder to people to focus on.
We at Lumax also spread awareness to the communities which are near our plant locations to educate on plastic Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Environment day was celebrated on 4th June 2022 at Anganwadi of Village of Lokri in which activities like Drama, Poems on Environment, Games, Exhibition of waste recycle things and Gifts were distributed. Also, to engage youth we planted trees and ask them to grow it.
The Life skills trainer also celebrated the environment day with students from Schools in Zolapur & Khoda.
School Visits & Introduction of Implementation Partners
The CSR Team visited Pune in June 2022 to assess the work being done in the adopted school with which Lumax has been associated for the last four years.
Projects like Career Counselling and Scholarship have been going on in Pune from last four years and from this financial year Lumax introduced Life skill projects with the same vision. We introduced our implementation partner to the school authorities to facilitate better project initiations.
Infrastructure Support
In Sanand, LCF is providing much need Infrastructure support towards building a school which will cater to nearby 30 villages. This will motivate young minds in pursuing their higher education.
School Visits & Introduction of Implementation Partners
The CSR Team conducted Webinars with schools to introduce scholarship program for FY 2022-23. In this Principals of Schools from Haryana and Pune actively participated and also encouraged the students to apply for the scholarship and fill the scholarship forms.
Yoga & Exercise Sessions
Yoga & Exercise sessions along with the students of class 10th to 12th from both the schools of Gujarat was conducted by LCF. In all the sessions students participated with great enthusiasm that included learning activities, Yogaasan and some basic exercises. The facilitator conducted sessions to make students aware of physical and mental benefits and also taught them some yogasanas and pranayama so that they can integrate it into their daily routine.

Health Check-up Camp
A health check-up camp was organised at the Lumax-DK Jain Group Corporate Office in April 2022 by Dr Atul Chauhan in collaboration with Aakash Healthcare Super Speciality Hospital, New Delhi. The camp was organised on the occasion of World Health Day encouraging everyone to seek preventive health check-up services 80 people attended the camp making it a successful one.
Yoga Day Celebrations
Yoga is an ancient and complex practice, rooted in Indian philosophy. It began as a spiritual practice but has become popular as a way of promoting physical and mental well-being. Research suggests that yoga may help improve general wellness by relieving stress, supporting good health habits, and improving mental/emotional health, sleep, and balance, relieve low-back pain and neck pain, and possibly pain from tension-type headaches and knee osteoarthritis, help people who are overweight or obese lose weight, help people manage anxiety or depressive symptoms associated with difficult life situations and help people with chronic diseases manage their symptoms and improve their quality of life.

Mr Ankit Thakral, Divisional Manager, Corporate Finance, from Lumax Management Services Pvt. Ltd. and his wife Ms Shinny Thakral were blessed with a baby girl named Anaysha Thakral on 20th April, 2022.
At just 18 -19 years of age, Mr DK Jain was travelling and meeting customers for Globe Auto Industries. He started gaining confidence and began to build agoodrapportwithhiscustomers.
Shri Sagar Chand Jain wanted his son to focus more on the OEM (original equipment manufacturers) business rather than the aftermarket, with an objectivetodevelopRelationshipswith educated professionals who would helpinbuildinghisbusiness.
Two of Mr DK Jain’s first customers were Enfield India, which manufactured the powerful 350 cc Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle and Standard Motor Products of India, set up in collaboration with Triumph of UK in Madras, which manufactured the Standard Herald car.
