easy ways to become a
Minimalist...
by Margaret DeStefano
The pandemic may have changed the way we see the world. It has made us more aware of habits that before were barely noticed. We've had a chance to see "life" up close and personal and, the picture wasn't very pretty. We've had more time to observe habits that now seem wasteful. The newest word, "minimalist" has also emerged. Eco-minimalism simply comes down to consuming less. Can switching from dairy to nut milk change the world? Maybe not, but even opting for plant-based milk rather than dairy milk or replacing several meals a week with meat-free alternatives, can have a substantial climate impact. Learn to cook, even if it’s just simple things. Cooking for yourself comes with lots of benefits, including reducing expenses, establishing healthier habits, and of course, helping the planet. Making sustainable choices is empowering in a world where it can feel like we don’t have much control. Lots of people however making small changes together can have a large impact. Now, that's a comforting thought!
