I am a well-established personal trainer and sports massage therapist, with over 30 years’ experience of working in the health and fitness industry. Qualified with the National Academy of Sports Medicine, my Optimum Performance Training Programmes are based on scientifically proven approaches which deliver fast results.

For virtual training sessions, I use Facetime, WhatsApp and Skype, depending on my client’s preference. The sessions last from 30 to 60 minutes. Little or no equipment is needed for these sessions and will be tailored to individual needs.

In line with Scottish Government’s safety guidelines, I offer one on one personal training outdoors that is physically distanced; so one session per day per household. There is no need to share equipment during these sessions.

Whether you’re training to improve your general fitness and wellbeing, to achieve a healthier lifestyle, to lose weight, to recover from an injury or to improve your sports performance, my tailored and varied programmes will help you to successfully achieve the goals and results you desire in a fun and motivational way.

During this time, it is important to exercise, not only for physical benefits (i.e. improve cardio-vascular and muscular system) but also to support mental health and wellbeing. Exercise will help with your mobility, flexibility and posture. I provide nutritional advice to my clients as part of their programmes.

"To help manage stress when working from home my main tip would be to get outside and go for a walk, or run, for physical and mental stimulus, no matter what the weather! The best time to do this could be first thing in the morning or at the end of a working from home day. If you’re keen to step up your training please get in touch. We can work out a session that suits you best!" Paul
