ARTISTS ELAINE JOHNSTON, WILLIAM DOBBIE, AND CHRISTOPHER BYRNE PRESENT ‘LAUNCH ART’ AN ONLINE ART RAFFLE FOR ‘LAUNCH FOODS’

We hope to bring these exhibitions to the donated gallery soon and in the meantime, The Studio Fine Art Company presents ‘LAUNCH ART’, an online art raffle, where three pieces of original art work donated by established Scottish artists Elaine Johnston, William Dobbie and Christopher Byrne are up for grabs for just £5 per ticket. LAUNCH ART is running for Skypark-based Launch Foods that is continuing to provide free meals for primary school children in the City’s communities that need it most, throughout these challenging times.

Curator Alison Donnell of The Studio Fine Art Company said:

Whilst the exhibitions at Skypark’s donated gallery have been postponed, the online raffle for LAUNCH ART aims to help the charity ‘Launch Foods’, as well as give a platform for these established artists at different stages in their careers as graduates of Glasgow School of Art. It’s a great opportunity to win a piece of original artwork whilst supporting a brilliant cause. We do hope to bring the exhibitions to Skypark later this year. Each artist has agreed to donate a percentage of art sold from their exhibition as well as donate a piece of artwork.

Launch Foods was founded by Craig Johnson who could make no sense of the reasons why so much surplus food exists and yet every day children are going hungry. Craig Johnson said:

Thanks to LAUNCH ART for supporting Launch Foods. Life is very difficult for so many children and families throughout the year and even harder just now.
