from Skyline Summer 2020
by Skypark
While this year’s TEDxGlasgow Climate Change Event is postponed to 2021, it’s great to announce that Skypark’s owner Federated Hermes will continue as a sponsor so watch this space for more on next year’s major event! In the meantime, as TEDxGlasgow cannot share powerful ideas in person right now, you are all invited to join a series of free online events - Conversations Worth Having – with the first set to take place on 25th June at 6pm.
Join host, former BBC presenter, journalist and current affairs specialist Clare English, and a panel of esteemed speakers for an hour of virtual idea sharing as they consider whether our current experience of the coronavirus crisis can make for a better society in the future.

What made us adapt to kinder ways during this pandemic and whether we are likely to revert back to our previous, everyday way of life as the new reality kicks in?
What good things should we keep, if any, and is this even possible without changing the basis of our economy and society? Joanne Lynn, Head of Events at TEDxGlasgow, said: “It was really tough having to cancel our 2020 event, knowing that we’ll not be able to welcome thousands of people to listen and share experiences and ideas that stimulate positive change.
Join speakers Andy Haldane, Chief Economist of the Bank of England; Professor Paul Dolan, author and Behavioural Scientist at the London School of Economics; and Iman Amrani award-winning digital journalist from The Guardian, live on Zoom as TEDxGlasgow asks: What is the future of society?
