fter a dormant 2020, we have emerged from hibernation, rolled up our sleeves, and are spinning the 2021 Fair into full-fledged fury. The Skagit Fair has endured two world wars, the great depression, droughts, doubts, and the Spanish flu. As the longest running festival in Skagit County, we have emerged from a hiatus with renewed enthusiasm and steadfast determination. The stage is set, the carnival is in place, the vendors are ready, the bands are tuned, the tents are erect, and the animals are kicking at the barn doors with excitement.

After the Spanish flu swept through the US in 1918, a renewed energy spurred the roaring twenties— rousing greater innovation and a passion for music, arts, and creativity. A year of reflection brings resurrection and the 2021 Fair will be the perfect venue for reconnection. The 2021 Fair sets the transformation process in motion as our cocoons dissolve and we focus on our summer Fair freedom flight, complete with funnel cakes, French fries, fajitas, and other fair food favorites.
