Street light division The Street Light Division is responsible for providing dependable service and maintenance of the street lighting system within the City. There are approximately 7,000 street lights within the city consisting of 9 different designs, and many miles of underground wire. The Street Light Division is in the process of upgrading all City owned lights to LED bulbs for energy and cost savings. The City’s street lighting provides a number of important benefits such as improved public safety throughout the transportation network, beautification, longer periods of accessibility, and promotes security for our residents and the infrastructure throughout the City.
