We are now well into 2011 and I hope you saw my HNY post on my blogâ&#x20AC;Ś As music is concerned I donâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t know if you like latin music as much as I do but my hot blood needs a dose of salsa every so often. If it is also your case then I would advise you to check the following artists. Joaquin Gustav: He is a highly trained guitarist, was born and received his music education in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the birthplace of tango. Out of his fingers comes an array of string sounds that blend the colors of Latin American culture with his own style. One of the hardest working musicians in SL, Joaquin never puts his acoustic guitar down. He is forever focused on giving one hundred percent to every performance. His wide range playlist includes smooth jazz, rock, tango, milonga and much more. So if you feel romantic, he is the best to listen. Seba Sideways: Seba is also from Buenos Aires but he is a professional Tenor Sax player with more than 14 years experience. His artistic repertoire in SL includes Jazz, Bossa Nova, Blues, Funk, Reggae Roots, Ballads and Tango... songs from Charlie Parker, Sonny Rollins, Thelonius Monk, Coleman Hawkins or Ben Webster. He has played some double streams with Tukso Okey, one of the best guitarist in SL, awesome!

TB Andel: TB comes from Portugal and his style of World Music is based on Portuguese Folk Music with an original touch of jazz, fado and afro music. He plays with a unique hand crafted Electric Ukulele with great clarity and the love of music he brings to all listening. TB is a experienced and professional musician playing around the world for the last 24 years with his original music and also keeping Portuguese Tradition alive!! He can also play some samba if asked nicely! Reis Alter: She is a Brazilian singer from Bahia, one of the few artists that try to bring real and virtual shows together, she calls them “Mixed Realities” shows, and you have to check her or her videos on the net. Her husband Aldo Brizzi help her in the shows. So if you like samba or bossa nova, don’t miss her in one of her concerts. There are others as well, but hey! ANTO

Anto is the keyboardplayer, pianist, composer, he started playing music in 1976. Anto loves to compose electronic music.His interest for the piano grew when he was around 10 years old when he started to play the first notes and with much enthusiasm the first projects came to live. At the end of the 70’s he started to study jazz piano and harmony at the school “Nuova Milano Musica” created by the Maestro Franco Cerri and new horizons opened up and the ideas became music. His mood makes him really never satisfied of the things he creates but always brings him to develope new things so, in the 80’s he started to experiment a total new music style: electronic music. The love for the computer and new tecnologies helped him to get closer to this genre. The 90’s are dedicated to the Reggae music and other kind of music called “of the sun” to have fun together with the still playing band GOSS. Influenced by bands like Tangerine Dream, Enigma but also the, most famous progressive bands like Genesis, Yes, Pink Floyd, Marillion he is really a 360° music lover and this passion is put in his own music creating various genres of original UKD tunes. Anto works everyday with computers as we said so he is also the creator of all the videos, website, blog and the whole stuff around UKD and his elegant style is a trademark for the band that created in this way a unique high quality level way to work. He has also a beautiful voice and sometimes u are so lucky to hear him sing some covers and of course some chorus on the original UKD songs. In the new millenium the creativity has been growing more and more and all this takes us to wait for the third album of the UKD Project that is already on the run.

LAURA

Laura is the leadsinger of the band and the entertainer. You can hear strong influences of Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Cher etc in her way of singing. The voice is strong, powerful and very warm and recognizable. She simply hipnotizes u with the warmth of her style and her way of always making a same tune different to never sound boring. Her purpous is to make people smile with music and having fun during the shows as she use to say “to make people go to bed happy and with a smile... always”. The powerful voice will enter you body and your soul making you feel a lot of contrasting emotions. She is with Anto the author of the songs and writes the lyrics. Many many shows took her and Anto around the stages of the northern part of Italy until the start of the UKD Project that has become famous not only as live band but also as a Second Life band and there she actually can express all her lively way of performing and really can let the world listen to her voice and as she says herself: “It’s the most amazing way to be heard worldwide from web radios and from different kind of people that usually log in in this reality; and many many famous bands have choosen this way to promote cd’s and singles. We simply love it and we love the people that so kindly supports us every day with love.”

PAOLO

Paolo Giaccone begins his career in 1989. He follows the stages of Piero Termine for 3 years before starting the band Oxide that will be compleated only in 1993. In 1996 they recorded the first cd and in ‘98 the second cd with the same band.

FRANK

Frank Quarti, is on the road since the 80s as a professional drummer and played in several punk and rock bands of the Northern part of Italy (The Khan-Chy’s Yawn, The Bag One).

With those bands they record an EP with 6 original songs and an audio tape. It’s an ‘out-world’ magazine, because we know how difficult it is to read a publication inside Second Life, and InnerWorld Magazine primes for the high quality of its graphic design and special content. Well, we ensure you, it’s a matter of honor to make a nice magazine, because Thereaver Barrymore is designer and Ananda Valeeva is a journalist in real life.

The magazine can be read on the InnerWorld Website or directly on its profile on Issuu website. It is written and published simultaneously in two languages: English and Portuguese. The website has around 300 views per day and the magazine has around 10.000 views both languages.

Escargot is off the menu Japanese game show meets whacky mini-golf with RacerX Gullwing’s Giant Snail Races a Second Life institution since 2004.

The course is on the mainland grid at Hawthorne, and sees a collection of 45 feet tall snails racing through an obstacle course.

When: Sunday 11:00AM SLT Where: Giant Snail Races, Hawthorne

It’s a laid back casual fun show where you never know what could happen, especially with a different theme each event resulting in great costumes and antics to match. There are early qualifying races and the show usually includes two final races. The first race for new rookie snails, the next two races are a mix of whoever registers that morning and the final race is the top finishers from the first three races. Spectators follow the action aboard The Magnificent Snail Tracking Self Propelled Grandstands Colored to match the scarf worn by there sections snail. Every year the Giant Snails raise funds for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life campaign in Second Life. Once a month for about four months RacerX holds a cross country race across over 40 sims using the existing roads across the grid to raise funds and awareness for RFL. THE DJ NIGHT Besides these great benefits, DJ World provides a showcase of DJ talent by having a monthly showcase called DJ NIGHT. This is like a 12 hour marathon of 12 different DJs in the group, going for a set an hour each. This showcase is bought to you by AQUA LOUNGE, ARSENAL, BEYOND OBSESSIONS, IRONWORKS and a guest club. This event gives the DJs exposure to an audience that they might not have DJ-ed for before. Same as stated above, club owners and people planning parties will be able to view some of the talent in the group if they need them for further use.

This service may be essential needs for beginning club owners that need a house stream (for DJs that don’t have their own streams and need to connect to a server to stream their music in via their software). A new and very simple way to rent a stream directly. With DJ World’s “Speedy Stream”

you will get an object called payment device. you can take it with you and can rent a stream whenever you want. Streams for 100 listeners and 192 kbit. Second Ads is an advertising agency that grows ad networks within virtual worlds. Our system connects those that need to advertise (ADVERTISERS) with those that have traffic on their virtual land (AD PUBLISHERS). We are an Affiliate Advertising Network and our system is designed to benefit everyone involved. Our system counts only unique ad clicks and impressions and our advertisers only pay when someone is interested in their ad. Every publisher or advertiser that registers on this site can access detailed ad campaign or publishers earning statistics.

ADVERTISERS There are no weekly payments. Advertisements are placed into system through Ad Servers in our AD CENTER. When you set your ad and its displayed on surface of Ad Server then insert your click budget. How did you discover Second Life and what made you create an account?

And when you discover the virtual photography art ?

I read about Second Life in a magazine and thought it sounded fascinating so I gave it a go on a very wobbly PC with an integrated graphics card that almost had to be wound up to work. I am amazed I made it here at all!

SL was down one day so I was browsing the SL flickr group and was totally blown away by the amazing pictures I saw there by the likes of Hio, Don Hosho and others.

How you describe your Photo style ? and what kind of subjects you like ? I have what is almost described as a â&#x20AC;&#x153;dreamyâ&#x20AC;? style. I love muted colours and am a bit obsessive about them. My favourite subjects are love, loss and fantasy.

You took inspiration by RL and by famous Artist ? I am constantly inspired by rl, by events around me and by music. I read alot of digital art magazines and they lose me in another world that I long to draw too. I love some of the work of Peter Doig and in terms of fantasy work Luis Royo as well as a host of amazing gaming and comic fantasy artists.

What have you been doing in SL ? Tell us your story: what have you been up to or what have you created. I have my own gallery now, designed and built by the amazing Ahmad (Don) Hosho. It’s still my hope to open a little pose shop ;-)

How SL let you improve your know how or skills ? Now THAT is a question! Basically SL has inspired me to start a real life comitment to art. I am now a fairly advanced photoshop user and create rl art with it also. I also attend art college, mainly for oil painting and I LOVE it. I would never have done this if it had not been for SL and then my mum’s encouragement when she saw what I could do.

You work for some magazines ? Yes Modavia mainly.

You do works for single people ? how can we get your photo shots ? You do works for single people ? how can we get your photo shots ? Yes but it has to inspire me or the work I create won’t be good enough for my own standards or my client.

What you like to do in SL for having fun ? In SL I love to hang out with my best friends and do art art art!

Have you some beautiful places to suggest our friends to explore and take pictures ? I always love Lost World ?? I have used it for main shots and always keep taking pictures to use as background for my fantasy pictures. Could you share a funny or awkward story that happened to you inSL ? Yes about 30 minutes ago I was in a clothes store. I went to change my boots and not being used to Viewer 2 I managed to remove every item of clothing and every prim. THE SHAME!
