PARTNERSHIP EXTENDED
As sponsors of our Saturday Challenge Cup, known as the TJ Vickers Cup we are delighted to unveil our new sponsored car provided by TJ Vickers extending our sponsorship deal for a further two years.
The Shropshire-based dealership, with showrooms in Telford and Shrewsbury, has sponsored the Challenge Cup since 2010 and has been a big supporter of the game in Shropshire during this time.

24/25 Winners: Congratulations to the Shrewsbury 99ers who have won the Shropshire FA Walking Football League
24/25. A big thank you to all teams that have played their part in making the league both competitive and enjoyable. Now it is a well deserved break from league action for the teams as the season returns in April 2025.

Shrewsbury up & Comers girls had the amazing opportunity to go and watch future lionesses train before their game at the Croud Meadow It was great to see so many young girls supporting them. A big thank you to England U23s for taking the time to inspire our young girls to play

REFEREE SUCCESS
A huge congratulations to Kyle who achieved double promotion from level 7 to level 5 in the 2023/2024 season. As well as being out officiating every weekend in the Salop Leisure and Shropshire Junior Leagues, Kyle is also a member of CORE to which his dedication and closely working with the county coach to improve on field as well as his continued attention to the vital, off field attributes that has been rewarded by this CORE appointment. The commitment and dedication that Kyle displays at the age of 17 is to be applauded, and a promotion well deserved
Kyle’s dedication to his role as a referee is the main reason he is so successful as refereeing isn't just about the 90 minutes on the pitch, its training outside of games, doing law of the game quizzes and diet. Lifestyle has a big impact on officiating, this is why Kyle is a role model for every aspiring match official in the county
Young match official Kyle Rowlands recently had the opportunity to officiate in his first international fixture at St Georges park where he was an Assistant Referee on an England U15s game
BILL LONGMORE FOUNDATION AWARD
Congratulations to young match officials Freddie Williams and Kyle Rowlands for their achievement on winning the Bill Longmore Foundation Award!
The Bill Longmore Foundation gave the young match officials a grant to put towards their development in refereeing which can allow them to progress further within their careers and purchase equipment they may need to progress
As an Association we wish to record and reward the service to Shropshire FA. A Long Service Award may be presented to Club Officials on completion of 21 years’ service with an individual Club, League or- Competition. The Club, League or Competition concerned shall have the option of making the application and producing the necessary supporting evidence.
You can apply for individuals to receive a long service award from The Football Association after serving 50 consecutive years. A Long Service Referees on completion feree affiliated to this on
