On Thursday, December 14, Mountaineer’s Table at Ephrata Church of the Brethren (ECOB) held its annual holiday distribution for more than 100 families. For the third year, Summers Trucking sponsored a ham for every family, and ECOB’s congregation
provided gifts for all 244 children in the program. Every week, Mountain eer’s Table at ECOB provides participating EASD families with extra food for the week, including a recipe and ingredients. If you have any questions regarding the program or

The EMS/EIS Leo Club would like to thank the students, teachers and staff of the Ephrata Intermediate School (EIS) and Ephrata Middle School (EMS) for donating new hats, scarves, and gloves that will be donated to the Neigh borhood Santa program.
Kimberly Goshert and Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar in Ephrata organized the program again this year. EMS/EIS Leo Club had two holiday trees located in each school’s lobby for the students to “decorate” with the hats, scarves and gloves.
They had 55 hats, scarves, and gloves donated this year! Thank you to the Baron Stiegel Lions Club for their cash donation on behalf of the EMS/EIS Leo Club. The Leo Club is always looking for new members to join in on their
